Winter (Christmas 😍) is approaching.... we will soon be juggling our work with the dreaded school runs in the pouring down rain. The days are shorter, but yet colder and no doubt going to be full of coughs and colds 👎🏼(and bigger hair!).
When you go to work in the dark and you come home in the dark, by the time you’ve warmed up, cooked tea, sorted lunches, walked the dog and god knows what else your evening consists of... the last thing you want to do is your HOUSEWORK!
Le...t Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo take care of this for you. Our room frangrances will be changing with the season which brings a sad farewell to our much loved Pink Grapefruit. ‘Shoe protector’ order has been placed we’re thinking ahead to not dampen or tread wet and muck on our customers floors.
So what else does winter season mean? Most people spend a lot of their time indoors, so it’s best to maintain the cleanliness of the home the mud and dirt brought in from the outside, the soot off the fireplace, and the cob webs our 8 legged friends will start spinning. All of which makes cleaning in winter just as important as the spring yearly clean.
In order to help out my lovely customers I’ve done a bit of research to potentially give you a little extra help this winter.
💎 Extra door mats may encourage people to use them, reducing the amount of dampness to your floors.
❄️ Use a tray for a boot tray or even a basic shoe rack place by the door to place your wet muddy footwear when you come home. Also a towel to wipe your dogs over when they are damp and smelly 😩.
💎 Clean socks or slippers for comfort and to warm your feet once you’ve removed your shoes. (☺️ sounds cosy 👌🏼)
❄️ Flip the mattress. I personally do mine each time the clocks change, bit of baking soda sprinkled over for few hours and simply hoover off.
💎 SORT THE AIRING CUPBOARD!! Depending on what you have in your home of course, it’s a good time to empty your airing cupboard, pair up pillows and duvets with a sheet and pile. Warmer duvets swapped and cosier bedding closer to the front. Hot water bottles etc. Also if your able to hang a couple of hangers for wet school uniform could be hung to dry if damp, preventing that smell 😷, obviously again depending on your set up at home.
❄️ If you recycle and it’s stored outside think of something you can use to collect it up and empty at the end of the day. Saves creating extra dirt to floors. I use a car boot organiser by my door which has three compartments. Up there for thinking before you all laugh 😏! I bought mine from Groupon for a couple of quid.
