Big Blue Horizons

Big Blue is a 20 Metre motor Cruiser which provides unparalleled floating space to hire, catering for a multitude of occasions.

Big Blue is a Dutch Built De Groot vessel commissioned in 1990. Her dimensions are length of overall (LOA) 20m with a beam of 5m, a draught of 2m and a gross weight of 70t. The vessel is powered by twin Sabre Perkins engines which provide a cruising speed of 10knts.

The deep v displacement hull and the flared bow make Big Blue very seaworthy and stable in most conditions. Designed as a Commercial Vessel Big Blue has had a variety of previous roles including Supply Vessel, Safety Boat, Dive Boat, Committee Boat for sailing regattas, as a live aboard and as an Anti Piracy vessel patrolling off the coast of Somalia. I acquired Big Blue in 2014 and set in motion my dream not only to live on a boat but to pursue an ambition to one day become a Charter Boat Skipper.
