We’ve rounded up some fundraising heroes to give us that Monday motivation feeling!
Collectively a team called No Probllama’s took on the Tough Mudder and Norwich Colour 5k to raise £285! Fun fact: one of the No Probllama’s is currently doing a PHD sponsored by Big C.
Next up, are brother and sister duo Elspeth and Angus who raised a fantastic £570 by completing the Norwich Triathlon in memory of their grandparents.
... Finally, there’s Brian - Chairman of the High Kelling Society - and his friend John, who are both in their mid 70s and walked the Yorkshire Wolds Way. They extended it to take in historic sights and walked a total of 90 miles. Brian raised £394 for Big C!
Thank-you to you all! Do you want to fundraise for your local cancer charity? Find out more at https://fundraise.big-c.co.uk/fundraise/< br> See More

“We’re all human, even if you have cancer - you’re still a mum, dad, nan, auntie or somebody’s friend. I know first-hand what it’s like to not be able to do everything you want to do - to have health as a barrier."
In just over a weeks time, we'll be cheering on Big C supporter Tom Street as he and a group of friends, sets off on an epic 425 mile cycle ride, from Norwich Castle to Edinburgh Castle, raising funds in support of Big C.
After his grandmother, 'Nanny Sweeties' wa...s diagnosed with cancer of the womb last year, Tom was inspired to do something to make a difference for others going through their own experience of cancer.
“The support at Big C has been great for my Nan. She’s loved the wig-fitting clinics. My Granddad has been going along to drop-ins with her and has also received reflexology. It’s been really good for them. When I discovered the invaluable support Nan was receiving, this really motivated me to take action."

This Sunday is Run Norwich. Holly will be walking the Norwich 10k to raise funds for Big C.
She was hoping to run some of it but due to tearing a muscle in her back, she’s under strict instructions from the physio to take it easy - he actually suggested she didn’t do the race at all but she’s stubborn!
Holly is taking part for her beautiful mum and sister.
... She says: “My sister was diagnosed with a sarcoma in August 2017. She was incredibly brave and had a huge tumour removed. In April she had another tumour removed, but not all of the cancer was taken away. She now has to have radiotherapy, that started on 24th July.
“In December 2017 my mum was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer which had gone to her lymph nodes. Just after New Year we were told the worst possible thing - mum's cancer had spread to her bones and her lungs.
“On the 18th of July this year, mum was told the cancer had spread further to her liver. All medication was withdrawn apart from pain relief and she's been given three months left with us.
“ I'm heartbroken and need to do this race to try to stop cancer, taking loved ones away.
“Please sponsor me, any little helps to try to help more families that are unfortunately touched by the pain and grief that cancer brings.”
Can you help Holly reach her £500 total? https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ho lly-tijou-hoyles

We want to say a massive thank you to Longdale Striders Running Group!

Could you help make a direct difference to people affected by cancer? We are currently in need of volunteers at all of our Centres.
Big C Centres are welcoming places, away from the hospital, where anyone affected by cancer can go. There's always information about cancer available, emotional support, complementary therapies and a listening ear or alternatively a bit of peace and quiet.

We may not need to brighten up today but if we did our new range of colourful Big C balloons would definitely do the trick! 😀

Nursing Assistants Paula and Sophie work in the Oncology and Haematology Outpatient Department at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. This Saturday, they will be diving out of the sky at 14,000ft for Big C's Big Jump!
Paula says: “The idea of doing a skydive came up in conversation one day and we both decided to go for it. “Every day at work we meet people who are faced with their worst possible fears, many of these people are incredibly brave and certainly makes us evaluate our ...lives. We want to brave the skydive and face our own fears - we are scared but excited and want to raise lots of money for Big C."
Paula and Sophie set out to raise £600 between them but have already exceeded £1,000 through kind donations and holding a bake sale and tombola at work.
If you want to take these two to new fundraising heights you can support them here: http://www.justgiving.com/Sophie-Augood
