Big Green Bookshop

One of a dying breed - the small independent bookshops. A lovely quirky small local bookshop just off Wood Green High Street run by 2 guys, both warm friendly and helpful. Simon has a lifetime if bookshop experience, Tim has now achieved fame with his long running and v funny Twitter correspondence with Harry Potter hating Piers Morgan. Any book you want, they'll find it for you. Any advice on what to get for an elderly uncle, your aunty or a nerdy 12 year old? They'll have just the book for you. And they do book launches, author events. Forget Amazon, let's go for the personal touch.

An oasis in a side street of Wood Green high street. They have an amazing selection and the friendly and knowledgeable owners are really good at recommending books.

The guys that run/own the place are awesome! Great selection of books, always competitive, friendly & can get you what you want asap if not in stock. Great shop.

A great wee book shop. I can't believe it's taken me so long to find it! It's quiet with helpful staff. The kid's selection is pretty good too as is it's young adult section. A couple of comfy chairs to browse on too.

Great book shop. Great staff. And fun events on. Shappi Khorsandi was here doing stand up once. For a fiver!!!

Lovely independent book shop

I miss this shop so much now I've moved away. Simon and Tim are wonderful, the selection of books is great and they make great recommendations. They order anything they don't have in, and it's usually there within 36 hours. They have brilliant, imaginative events on. Definitely worth a visit. Much more fun than online shopping.

A hidden gem in North London. A lovely shop with a lovely selection of books. A great place to take children too! A must visit for any London bibliophile.
