Big Hillsdale Farm Camping

2nd time staying here! Great little campsite with an awesome view. Only downside is they could do with some lights in the shower!

Just returned from another fantastic weekend camp at this site. I can't rate this site highly enough. There is everything you need to enjoy your experience and the fact that our son can help on the farm just makes it so much more special. Thanks Gill and Chris see you again soon.

Stayed for 2 nights easter weekend, my 8 year old son helped Gill on the farm each morning and evening, it made his day, they are all so friendly, nice people, amazing views from the camp site. toilet is a short walk from the camp but we took our own so this wasnt an issue, shower and toilets kept in good working order. wood for camp fire cheap to buy, the main this for us was how much fun my son had helping Gill each day collecting hens eggs and feeding the lamb.

Will visit again for sure may bank holiday.

Stayed here for 1 night after a long trek. It was booked in advanced but we paid as we left. The owners were very casual, there was plenty of space and it was lovely and quiet. There were toilet and shower cubicles as well as a fire pits (actually old washing machine drums) and firewood was cheap to buy from the owners of the farm. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely fantastic place to camp! Everyone says the toilets are basic but they are not really.._ I have definitely seen far worse and these here are kept so clean! The horses and donkeys are absolutely gorgeous - they are so friendly I could have spent all day with them. I didn't meet the lady who runs the campsite but was told she is really lovely. Beautiful walk directly from the farm to the Manifold Way. The only thing that ruined it for us was a group of people who had to play their music and sing very late into the night. I hope the next time we stay we will have more considerate co campers.

Warm welcome and spacious camp area. Good access to local features.

Great for walkers or families alike.
