Another project progressing well with Foxley Building Company Ltd....

A rare sunny moment on site for Chadwick Forrester Ltd....

Planning Approval has been granted for our new PassivHaus dwelling in Droitwich. Great effort by AddisonRees Planning Consultancy for the planning statement and management of the application within the sensitive Conservation Area and also Steph Howsam for the Architectural Landscape design. We are a while away from work starting on site, but watch this space for progress as it will be an exciting build....

Another successful planning approval - this time for a new three bed dwelling in Bewdley situated alongside the conservation area. Despite a difficult and extended consultation period, the clients are very pleased with the end result and are now keen to move forward with the build.

Exciting start to the year with a recently submitted planning application for a replacement dwelling in Wychavon.
The new home has been designed to meet PassivHaus standard, requiring minimal energy for space and hot water heating which will be provided by on site renewable sources.
The sloping site provided opportunities to locate the main living space to the upper ground floor, providing longer views to the adjacent parkland. This space opens out to the rear garden level an...d also onto a green terrace above the bedrooms.
Grey linear bricks form the lower ground facade, anchoring the building to the landscape, with the upper ground floor sitting delicately above and to one side. In order to achieve a fully integrated design, an experienced Landscape Architect was appointed at the earliest stage, resulting in a very exciting and considered private amenity space.

Interesting Part Q agricultural building conversion in for appeal in partnership with AddisonRees Planning Consultancy.
Rather than create a sharp, harsh exterior which would be alien to the landscape, a more sustainable approach has been taken ensuring the character of building is retained.
The retained open steel framework offers a great opportunity to frame the informal outside seating space, whilst the retained store on the opposite side of the main barn creates a covered area to hide away all of the domestic paraphernalia.

Another family kitchen all finished for Christmas....

Lovely when a happy client gets in touch with photos of their completed project, whether an extension/refurbishment or a larger new build/conversion. This one was a small and sympathetic extension in Wyre Forest....

Another successful appeal by Addison Rees. The existing lodge is a property of distinct character, situated within a Conservation Area. The inspector agreed that our design for the small scale extension was sympathetic to the existing lodge and had no detrimental impact on the CA.

Working on an interesting new build in Bewdley. Unfortunately it would seem WFDC may not share our enthusiasm for the design despite the efforts of Andrew Jax Jackson for the 3D render he produced. 🤔 .

Great to see one of our designs progressing well on site...

Always great to visit a newly completed project.
This barn in Wychavon was previously a large stable block, and more recently estate offices. It is now a luxury five bedroom dwelling ensuring it's long term survival. The living space has been designed to take advantage of the long views across the paddocks. The large living room is the main hub of the new home, which is flooded with light from the tall windows to the East and South elevations.
Chadwick Forrester Ltd have done an amazing job with a very high quality finish.

Not one of our usual projects this one, but a very personal and challenging one given the restricted space. Brief was to plan and design a conversion for a LWB VW Crafter that would carry and sleep 2 Adults and 3 Children, along with a small collie.
We are very pleased with the end result that has a large double bed in the pop top roof, smaller transverse double to the rear and a single bunk that has been designed to fly over the lower double. In addition there is large dog r...un beneath the rear bed, separate washroom, kitchen, lots of storage and large garage to the rear. Three fixed rear seats house the children, and the two front swivels form the remainder of the dining space.
All Road Activity Vehicles did a great job with the windows and general pre-start snagging. Platinum Skyline Wales fitted the pop top, and Mark1 Conversions did a fantastic job with the main conversion. Also a special mention to Roan Auto Services who as ever have done a great job on the servicing and mechanical maintenance.

New glazed lobby completed for a previous client in Barnt Green. They are very pleased with the end result which has been finished to a high standard and with minimum impact or disruption to the existing building.

Another project nearing completion. Full renovation and facelift of a detached property in Halesowen. Originally a small three bed dwelling the extension achieves four bedrooms (two en-suites and dressing room) to the first floor. On the ground is a large modern living space including open plan family kitchen with a separate living room/snug.
