Bike tyke completely restored my dads old Marin bear valley MTB back to its former glory. The bike needed a complete overhaul, so I knew it had to be seen by a proper mechanical engineer.
Bike tyke were fantastic, they called me and advised me what was needed rather than just going ahead and repairing.
The price was more than reasonable and the advice they gave me when I collected the bike was second to none.
As a complete biking novice it was great to feel like I hadn't been ripped off and there was no bike snobbery at all, like I have experienced at other establishments in the area.
This guy knows what he's talking about and is completely genuine.
Why take your bike to halfords etc, where they want to replace rather than repair?

1st class if you live near Barnsley this is the man to see for repairs of top quality speed and very reasonable cost repaired my electric bike hub wheel no problem when 3 "bike shops 1 national would not attempt it"

Had a problem with the headset on my winter hybrid, it was totally knackered. Took it through to Irvin at biketyke he diagnosed the problem and gave me price. He ordered the new head set, removed the old one with some difficulty, the bottom ring had totally rusted onto the forks and the bearings had dis intergrated . Picked the bike up a few days later.Irvin showed me the old head set. It shocked me how much it had corroded. He gave me advice on what lube spray to use and where to spray it and he complimented me on my choice of bike. The bike is now better than ever.I paid a fraction of what I would have paid in most bike shops and have got a quality job to boot. Irvin works from home, don't let that put you off. He has a lifetimes experience in engineering so he's much more skilled than most bike techs. His work is excellent and at the right price.

I would highly recommend him. I will be using him in future.

Looked for a local bike repairer, saw the reviews for Irvin and decided to try him out. Was not disappointed. Great service and very knowledgeable. Bike turned round fairly quickly and the price was very reasonable. All in all very pleased with the service offered and no reservations in recommending home to others. Will use again when need arises.
