Bilingual Potential is an ethical business based in London, UK. It was founded in 2015 to produce practical services in support of every child's right to learn and use their parents's language(s) as described in the Article 30 of UN Convention on the Rights of a Child. We exist to make life better for people who love difference so much they form bilingual and multicultural families. At Bilingual Potential we believe that a better world starts at home. We know that loving someone different enriches our lives. In everything we do we believe in happy families. We believe in supporting parents to be the most awesome parents they can be. We believe that children grow best in a language that reflects their parent's truest self. How could a child benefit from the best possible parenting if they don't speak their parent's language? We thrive to solve the hands-on problems of bilingual parenting. The situation when children are struggling to speak one parent's language is our speciality. We solve problems by listening to people and studying real family interaction data. We teach new skills and perspectives that help parents make informed choices that achieve a fast and lasting difference to their children's bilingualism. Bilingual Potential is the home of Bilingual Cake - a new approach to bilingual parenting that combines sociology of family with bilingualism research. It is different from anything you have seen before in the field of bilingual parent support. We work with organisations to support families of globally mobile staff to enhance family wellbeing and successful business placement completion. These two factors are closely connected. We are different because of our ability to provide Expat Family Support that combines professionalism from sociology of family, education and bilingualism.
