Perhaps not a day for the purist but this marks our ninth league win on the trot now.
... Asa Povey got the golden goal early in the first half and we more than did the job to bring all the points home. Well done to all the squad who worked their socks off today.
A bit of a respite from the league on Monday, when we host Fairford Town in the league cup, 7.45pm kick off.

Another day, and win on the road. A very good squad performance from start to finish. Despite a difficult pitch and well organised opposition, once we got into our stride, there were strong performances all over the pitch, and massive contributions from everyone.
... Josh Helmore opened the scoring on 26 minutes and Sean Moore doubled the lead 5 minutes later.
George Short sealed the deal with 20 minutes to go and it looked like a clean sheet night, but our hosts got a consolation in the last minute.
Next game is Saturday, away at Brackley Town Saints, another league match on this seasons journey.

Binfield 4 Burnham 1 Hellenic Premier League Scorers - Povey, Short, Moore 2
Well, up to 2nd in the division, at least for the evening.
... A comprehensive win over a competitive Burnham side, but the die was cast in the first minute when Asa Povey put the ball in the net in the very first minute.
George Short doubled the lead 35 minutes later and in the second half, Sean Moore managed to miss a penalty (the ball is somewhere up Cabbage Hill) and score goals three and four.
Burnham pulled a goal back when it was 3-0 but all to no avail.
Good entertainment for a crowd of 137, thank you coming out on a rainy night, your support really is appreciated.

Well, it wasnt pretty, but sometimes you just have to get over the line.
... After going a goal behind in the first fifteen minutes, we quickly equalised and then got in front.
No more goals in the second half but we came close on at least five occasions without converting the chances.
Great to see that this team never gives up and continues to put teams under pressure.
Credit to Holmer Green, who although bottom of the league, worked really hard and never gave up.
Next up is another home league match against Burnham on Friday night, 7.45 kick off.

Binfield 5 Flackwell Heath 1 Uhlsport Hellenic Premier league
Back to league action tonight, just two days after an exhausting FA Vase game. On a cold and frosty evening in front of a 90 strong crowd, the visitors started brightly and took and early lead.
... Binfield equalised on the half hour through Liam Gavin and the lead was doubled just 2 minutes later through Josh Helmore.
Again a strong start to the second half saw Josh Howell and Josh Helmore stretch the lead even further and the night was capped off by the Supporters Player of the Month for December, Elliott Legg scoring just before the final whistle.

Binfield 3 Deal Town 3 AET - Deal Town win 7-6 on penalties
The journey ends for this year, but not without a heck of a fight, a show of great determination and grit.
Probably best summed up as 2-2 at full time, 3-3 after extra time, 3-3 after three penalties only to lose on sudden death spot kicks.
... Congratulations to Deal Town and we wish them all the very best in the next round.
Thank you to all of our volunteers who pulled out all the stops on the day, and our groundsmen who are just the best, and all of the support we got on the day, which was top drawer.

Deal Town 1 Binfield 1 FA Vase
In very blustery conditions, Binfield has the best of the chances in the first half and two good second half chances went begging, before we went a goal down to a penalty.
... As the wind got worse, Josh Helmore grabbed the equaliser and the game played out through to extra time despite Binfield going down to 10 men in the second half.
Replay is at home next Saturday, all support would be welcome.

A good home win, complete with a clean sheet provided good entertainment from start to finish for a crowd of 130.
... Two early goals by Josh Helmore and a header from Callum Gallimore saw the Moles go in at the break 3-0 up.
There were several passages of play that were exceptional today, and in the second half, Jamie McClurg burst through and twisted and turned and put in a high cross to be finished off by Josh Howell.
A proper good day at the office, topped off by Alec Lloyd presenting Jamie McClurg with the Supporters Player of the Month award for November
