IMPORTANT NOTICE!
Bingley Music live will be taking a year off in 2019. The three-day music event, which has been a popular fixture on the festival scene over the years, will be taking a fallow year in order to give the land and local population a break as well as giving the organisers a chance to take a breath and evaluate the future delivery of the festival.
... We know Bingley Music Live will be missed by the many people who have grown to enjoy it. We’re also aware that the event has been a boost for the town’s economy and we’ll be working with local Bingley organisations to look at what else we might be able to do in the area. We believe that taking a year out will allow for the delivery in 2020 of a well-planned, financially viable and sustainable festival that provides a great experience for visitors to and residents of the district.
While there will not be a Bingley Music Live in 2019 there are still lots of great events across the district this year for people to enjoy. Some of which include the Dragon Boat Festival at Saltaire in June, Bradford Festival in July and the UCI cycling world championships at the end of September. More details on events around Bradford and district can be found here www.visitbradford.com/events

We've had multiple customers have their weekend ruined after falling victim to buying fake tickets. There's no need to take the risk, we have a number of tickets still available from out box office! πŸ’β€β™€οΈπŸŽ«

We have attended four of the last five BML. Love the mix of music on both stages. We love the compact nature of the site and it's safe to let younger ones explore for themselves. We did think this year it was better organisation getting wrist bands before bag search. Park and ride as normal was excellent, just wish it could run earlier on the Friday as bands already on by time the buses start, but understand its company car park so logistics would be difficult. We were a family party of mid to late 40 s and teenagers and everyone enjoyed the music and atmosphere. Safe, fun, eclectic. fantastic VALUE for the weekend. Everyone I tell cannot believe it. Really enjoyed it. Bring on 2017!

User

We enjoyed BML again, in fact this year was one of the best. We took our three boys (6, 12 and 14) and they all loved it too. The bands and facilities were fine including the main bar and food choices were also good. Nice to see the fireworks on Sunday too. I'm glad it was busy as if it wasn't then I'd fear for its ongoing future, long may BML continue. My only criticism would be the real ale bar, flat cloudy beer is never good, it should be hand pulled and sourced locally.

I will never give this festival anything less than 5*. It never fails to disappoint and is always a great atmosphere. Had 4 great weekends so far and looking forward to many more.

However, it was poor to see that although you had sold out this year and it was set to be a massive crowd, nothing had changed from the previous couple of years, no extra loos or bar facilities which to accommodate a crowd that size would of been much easier for all involved. Also the amount of barely dressed teeny boppers walking around the festival seemed ridiculous, I'm all for people going to festivals and enjoying the experience but there was just groups of kids wandering around aimlessly, they clearly weren't there for the music and they clearly weren't old enough to drink so it was a bit of mystery as to why so many were there, I know that's not your doing but it might be worth looking at introducing an age limit unless accompanied by adults, sad to see so many tickets wasted on people that weren't there to enjoy the festival, although I imagine the waltzers made a killing from them.

I know it looks like it but I'm honestly not complaining about BML. It is always the highlight of my summer and you all do a great job!

Had the pleasure of being a photographer at this year's event and got to witness it from both an audience and behind the scenes perspective. Incredibly well run with a brilliant line up. I'd argue there is an unwelcome element in the underage kids that have been left to run riot by parents drinking and smoking and generally being a nuisance that ruin it for others but I suppose that's a modern day fact of festivals. I hope to return next year and watch the festival continue to grow.

User

First timer! - had a brill weekend the atmosphere and the music were amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it!! There was only two downsides for me and they were there was teenagers clearly being served at the bar when you could tell they were underage from a mile off resulting in them being 'nobhead' kids which tbh didn't bother me because me and my Husband just stayed away. Secondly there was this particular security guard (wish i'd of got his name) drinking out off people's water bottles- we all know you can smell alcohol so I think smelling it would of been enough... I am not sure if anyone else complained about that? Other then that I actually thought the prices of things were acceptable and overall it was an amazing weekend so thank you BML!!

User

First time in 7 years we've been after a very unpleasant experience involving young kids openly snorting cocaine in front of my young kids . Wow what a difference ! From the moment we stepped into the park on Friday till we left on Sunday we had a great time . Special thanks must go to the safety/security team who kept thousands of us safe , no mean task at all . Yes there were isolated incidents but the ones I witnessed were dealt with swiftly and professionally . Thank you to each and every person / volunteer who in some way made a great weekend for us ....... Bring on BMLIVE2018 , I'll be first in the queue x

User

Been to a few festivals this year and thought Bingley Music Live 17 was friendly and well organised. On entry we went through the "no bags" entry point were everyone was thoroughly searched by the pleasant & professional female security guard on Friday afternoon. The walk way areas had been well prepared with aluminium matting so no problems when it rained. Pink Portaloo's were really clean. Good food stalls. There was some queing at the bars later on but that's expected. Excellent sound and stage lighting/effects. Manics were awesome - we were right at the front with our 3 teenage sons in a mixed age range crowd were everyone was dancing and happy with no pushing/shoving, never felt threatened or crushed. We stayed to the very end of the Manics set and it only took us about 15 mins to get out onto the main road. Very pleasant experience οΏ½

User

Amazing year on year but can you tell me exactly why we're not allowed to leave and get back in. I have both a daughter at home whom I need to check on and animal which need to be walked during the day. Exactly how are you going to police this ? You say it's at the discretion of security how will you ensure this is been carried out fairly and consistently?

User

The Lightning seeds should have been given a higher billing.

Poor Beth McCarl had to play to an empty field as the gates were opened half an hour late.

The staff in the accessible area were brilliant...thanks.

My wife signs and is a level 3 student (high standard); she was disappointed with the standard of the signers. They missed a lot of the words out and should have moved to a beat during musical interludes to let deaf people know the rhythm. Perhaps you would like to hear from her in person?

Please don’t think that we didn’t have a good time, it was fantastic.

Thanks and see you next time.

Sounds like a lot of people are not happy with the councils camping site. Come down to the rugby clubs camping, there are showers toilets a large bar and entertainment after the music in the park, plus you can park your car next to your tent!!! What more could you ask for

User

Our first year. Line up great, stages great, sound excellent for a small festival. Onsite camping logistics appalling, onsite catering , the worst quality and service on earth. Security good, stewards are the most risk averse I have ever known. Not their fault so let's blame the health and safety officer for the festival. In my opinion they overreached the realms of reasonable and practicable and risked spoiling the festival needlessly. I mean confiscating umbrellas because they may be used to stab people. Really! Apart from that all that needs to be mentioned is the festival goers, seriously the friendliest people I have ever met . Would we go again , he'll yeah . Thanks loads Bingley X

User

Our first time - loved the acts, found the security at the main stage friendly and not overbearing (even saw a couple of them dancing from time to time) and the volunteers we spoke to were also really nice and went out of their way to help. Felt as though the young teens were out for the first time without their parents and they seemed to get more excited when the dj came on rather than the acts!. The exit on Friday night was very busy and I did feel squashed but found another exit for the next day and sailed through. Overall, loved it and I'm interested to see who you have next year. Maximo Park were definitely the highlight. Thank you x

User

Had a lot of fun on the Friday 2017, despite the massive rain shower! Great atmosphere and some great bands. The queuing system in was well organised and I think reduced queue time overall compared to previous years. My only gripe is that there was a poor ratio of female to male security doing the bag check and the male security guard who frisked me definitely took some liberties with my bottom cheeks - a bit too much squeezing went on for my liking! I saw him do this to the next lady too, who had her small child with her, but not to the man who followed after us, funnily enough.

User

First time I have been to this festival. Overall it was a good festival atmosphere on Sunday. There was just a one thing that was cropping up over the day with me and my friend's when we was trying to get to the toilets and it's to do with the camping chairs and the people Sat in them at the arena site. These shouldn't be aloud. They could be used as a weapon. You may laugh at this but I bet you don't laugh at the plastic cups and wine bottles served at the beer tent as it's expected. Also the people Sat in the chairs we're very rude and acted like we was trespassing on their little chair village. Me and my friend's wasn't jealous that they had chairs as we are at a festival.

the grass is good enough for our asses.

User

Fantastic value for money. The line up was good this year - although I felt that Feeder should have been the headliners rather than the Wombats on Sunday. The Manic Street Preachers were awesome on Friday, and the Kaiser Chiefs took it to a whole new level on Saturday! Every person, right to the back were participating! The Wombats just didn't have the back catalogue to warrant being headliners, and half the crowd seemed to leave once Feeder had finished. I came in a group with two kids and we found the atmosphere to be friendly and relaxed. I would say (as others have) that we need designated walk ways so that people can get past the group's with camping chairs, or specific areas for people with chairs. We brought chairs as I simply can't stand all day or sit on the ground comfortably, but even I found the chairs a problem. Plenty of toilets, nice choice of foods, beer queues long at times though. The park n' ride was a god send! The fireworks display was a nice touch this year. The kids were a bit disappointed that there were only waltzers this year (last year there were two other big rides). Overall a great experience! Thank you 😁

User

Bingers is a great little festival - seen some top bands there, good mix of upcoming and established acts - and you can actually get to the bar and not have to stand there while you miss a band. Good friendly atmosphere too, well worth a visit.

User

Great festival with great acts. The only thing that lets it down is the price of things when you are in there. Β£9.00 for fish and chips, Β£5 for 4 donuts and Β£3 for a soft drink that you can't even have a lid for being examples. I paid Β£6 for a plain burger and Β£3 for some chips.I dont mind paying if its quality food but both were like rubber and I couldn't eat them. When you've already spent Β£75 quid on the ticket it's a bit steep. I think this does need looking at for future festivals. Just read you can now bring in sealed food but your posters haven't been updated to show this.

User

What have you done ??!! You have turned a family festival into ruin !! I have come to this festival for 6 consecutive years, my boyfriend also proposing to me at one of those (actually 2 years ago whilst James was singing tomorrow). Yet never have I had to see what I did tonight when it came to exiting the festival !!! What a complete joke, you put every single being that paid money to attend in danger !!! Why, why, why have you made the exit so bloody small?? It is such a risk to so many people !! It took as long to get out as it did to get served at the bar, 45 minutes for each !!!!!

I can say with a heavy heart that I shall not be returning again, you have ruined a beautiful thing for me:(

User

Mancs we great but it's the worst festival I've ever been to. My first Bingley live and my last. Disorganised, unsafe and lots of unnecessary queuing. If a fire had started or a bomb explosion the narrow restricted access/exits would be many people would die and be crushed and stampeded over. Stop being greedy and restrict your ticket.
