We were in for the Sunday night buffet . The staff was very attentive and the food was superb . I would highly recommend a visit x
We looked into a lot of the other Indian restaurants in old town, they had offers on for different days, but they were mostly empty with one or two people in a couple of them.
We went to the Biplob as we have been there before and we were surprised to see that it was almost full.
We were told that we would have a 10/15 minute wait, it was well worth it.
We opted to order off the menu as opposed to the buffet, I am usually wary of buffet style food as you don't know how long it's been out. I can honestly say their turnover was very fast, and as soon as a dish was cleared they replaced it. Maybe next time we will try the buffet. Meantime the chicken tikka my husband ordered was served sizzling hot and mine was tasty and had a lot of cashew nuts in it which I like. (I confess I can't remember the name of the dish but that's normal for me!)
The popadoms and naan bread were very fresh and the onion bahjis were good.
We have been to the Biplob many times over the years and we will go back many more times, I hope.
We had a table for 16 on Saturday evening. The place was buzzing, the staff were attentive and the food was amazing as always. I couldn’t fault a thing. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala as always it was beautiful but lots of people on our table had the lamb or Tikka biryani . I’m going to try this next time as it looked amazing.
Try the Biplob Supreme. Best dish on the menu, best Indian in swindon
The food is Always Amazing & the place is comfortable...
The thing I do notice on the occasions I’ve been, is that the staff Always look unhappy...they never smile...I can understand it if they were dealing with drunks & rowdy people but this was early evening...that’s my only criticism!

The food and service was great. Nothing was too much trouble and the quality of the food was outstanding. Iwould definitely go back again.
Had a spicy prawn dish, not just spicy but lots of flavour. Ok, I'm a 'table for one' tonight, but the staff have been friendly enough and attentive. Sag paneer on the side was tasty and creamy, and went well with the Biplob rice.
I was recommended this place by a colleague, it was worth a walk to get here!
Great food, lovely people and place, great value for money
Down in Swindon visiting family and friends.
When we were down last, went to Mela and it was good. Biplob was outstanding. We were a party of 12 and the food was amazing. Highlights were the Goan fish curry, which I wouldn't have gone for but was one of the nicest I have tried. The garlic chilli masala chicken was great as was the other chicken dish which I can't remember what it was called but had an unusual name! Service was prompt and very good, especially considering it was rammed.
Best Indian meal I have had in ages I will be definitely going back top marks to the chef
Starter very poor. They were very good and didn't charge. Curry excellent, their recommendation. Pilau rice with spinach to die for. Wine first class. Service excellent.
Great place and food, would go again. ......................
Food and service very good. Went with my 2 daughters for Fathers Day and as we were seated by the window and the air conditioning wasn't working it was uncomfortably hot
Excellent food in comfortable surroundings, what can you ask for.
This use to be a great curry house, now is so large, the staff are rushed and the service was awful, mistakes made not just on our table but other tables to, mains brought out before starters, dishes missing, no apologies just shrugged shoulders, my. Lamb was chewy which was disappointing, somehow I don't think we wil be returning in a hurry.
This is the first time in many years that I was disappointed with the meal at the Biplob - my chicken (madras) that I always order was not the usual tender cut of meat - it was sinewy and tasted cheap!!!! My husband had the medley of fish dish - and had 2 prawns that were gritty and the rest squid! Nothing else, the fried rice came out oily too!!!this is not their usual standard but I may hesitate to rebook!!!! It was our Anniversary meal!!!
Heard lots of good things about this place, food was lovely but restarestaurant was only half full and service was awful, 8 of us and two waited ten minutes more for their main so others felt rude starting, then 4 of us where still eating and they started clearing table, then after we felt rushed to finish they left these plates another half hour, drinks order kept being wrong also. Doubt we will be back
Chicken was overcooked on my meal and a bit hot chilli wise. I have had better meals from this restaurant so hopefully this was a one off.
That was the worst curry I've ever had from here. It was like the chef had tipped a pot of curry powder into the pot. Management not interested. Will never use again
