So excited about our Country Day. Quasar the Alpaca is here already, kindly on loan for the day from Snettisham Park Also our wonderful, huge tractor has arrived too - you can really sit in it!
Here is what is happening. 9am tearooms opens 10am attraction and Country Day open - normal admission prices apply. Free for season ticket holders this year.

Doggie Fastest recall and Fastest Retrieve on from 10-4, 50p a go.
11am Morris Dancing
11.30 Sheep Shearing starts - this goes on until 3pm
12-2 Pony rides kindly provided by Snettisham Park £2.50 a go
2.30 Dog show, 10 great classes, Rosettes to fourth place, lovely prizes for the winners plus Champion and Reserve Champion overall. £1 per class, entries on the day.
Farming Quiz - on all day, no extra charge, 5 areas set out with activities, information and quiz questions for you to enjoy.
Meet the animals - on all day, no extra charge, chicks, rabbits, guinea pigs, donkey, goats, kids, lambs, sheep and, of course, star of the show - Quasar the alpaca.
We will have bread, cakes, lunches, teas, coffee, more teas and sandwiches in the Marquee.
Craft stalls and craft demonstrations and our lovely wool spinning lady spinning the fleece straight from the sheep.

We are setting up the children's show jumping today ready for the weekend. With our children's show jumping there are no ponies, just children - so everyone can join in! Cant wait for Monday, so excited.

We are running a fastest recall and fastest retrieve at our dog show on Bank Holiday Monday May 27th. Do come and have a go. Thank you to Hempton Dog Show for the inspiration. The fastest recall and retrieve will be on from 10-4, the dog show is on at 2.30 - 10 fun classes with gorgeous rosettes to fourth place and fab prizes kindly donated by GJL Animal Feeds of Fakenham - all your feeds for all your needs! Bring your dogs along on Monday and have some fun.

Our fabulous annual Craft Fair is on today and tomorrow. Tearooms open from 9am, Crafts 10-5pm. Music this afternoon from the Tom, Dick and Harry band - great fun. FREE ENTRY to the Craft Fair, a full marquee of traditional local crafts with lots of demonstrations plus glitter face painting. See you all soon......I'm off to bake some bread!...... Its our annual Craft Fair this coming Bank Holiday Weekend. It's on Sunday and Monday May 5th and 6th, open from 10am to 5pm and it's FREE ENTRY. Our tearooms is open from 9am, so come for breakfast before the fair. We have lots of great new craft stalls this year which is really exciting. The Tom, Dick and Harry band are here on the Sunday afternoon and Maypole Dancing on Bank Holiday Monday afternoon, do come and join in - we only provide the Maypole, the music and the inspiration! Bircham Windmill reopens tomorrow, April 1st. We are all ready to welcome you, we have bread and cakes galore and even the new cat is ready! Come and see our new bread making area, have a go at butter making, see the old videos in our new display area and enjoy a cup of coffee and a catch up. See you all soon. Elly x

Hi everyone, WE HAVE TWO JOBS GOING AT BIRCHAM WINDMILL
As well as the tearoom assistants job, we also have a space for a trainee baker this year. The job involves assisting with the bread baking, serving customers, washing up and cleaning. Applicants must be over 16. Working shifts could be at weekends and school holidays and/or term time week days. We could job share. No previous experience necessary.

We are gearing up for opening again at Easter, the big clean is about to begin, we are revamping a few areas and hoping to make it new and exciting for our regular customers and new ones alike.
This year we are hoping to improve our dressing up area and are on the look out for some adult sized old fashioned/tweed jackets and some boots. If anyone has any, do let us know. El x

Pebbles, our lovely Donkey had a great day out at Snettisham Church on Sunday. Organised by Snettisham Park they had a live nativity and Pebbles walked up the isle with Mary and Joseph while everyone sang 'Little Donkey' A big Thank you to Trevor and his team for organising it and to all who took part.
