Birches Mill Cottages Description
Birches Mill Cottages are tucked into a secluded valley in the South Shropshire Hills, three miles from the pretty village of Clun and a short drive from historic Ludlow.
The 17th century former corn-mill has been tastefully converted into two self catering country cottages, ideal for rest and relaxation.

Even if you miss Santa at the Ludlow Food Hall it's worth a visit to stock-up on lots of Christmas goodies. Just outside Ludlow and only 25 minutes drive for the cottages.
A wonderful evening yesterday at Powis Castle to see the Christmas lights in the garden and decorations in the house. It took us 40 minutes to get there - they are open this and next weekend.
After a long walk, come back to the cottage, light the stove and settle in for a cosy evening!

Peter Coombes,our local butcher in Clun, has displayed this Guy (alias Donald Trump), in his shop all week - it's on the bonfire this evening!
These tiles would make lovely Christmas presents. The Ironbridge Gorge Museums are about an hour and a half drive from the cottages, and make a great day out.

A wonderful autumn in the Unk Valley, bright sunny days and stunning colours. This is looking up the lane from outside Mill Stream Cottage.
A special place to visit, especially with the early autumn mists adding to the atmosphere. About 20 minutes drive from the cottages.
Andy has grown a bumper crop of tomatoes this year!
Fabulous old steam engine. Ironbridge is approx 45 minutes from the cottages if you fancy a visit.
One of our favourite local shops to browse, Wilstone, at Leebotwood - a wonderful place full of Indian antiques and furniture. This lovely cabinet from Wilstone, just hung in Mill Stream Cottage, and looks as if it's always been there! www.wilstone.com

A walk this weekend on the Shropshire Way, about a mile above the cottages. This is looking down towards Newcastle on Clun.
