The Bird in Hand festival this year will be the weekend of 14th/15th July. Headlining Saturday evening will be Retro Electro, further bands to be announced.

The Bird in Hand are proud to announce we are now using paper straws in our pub to do our bit for the environment 😊

We stopped off from our bike ride for lunch. Ample space in the garden despite it being Saturday. The place was clean including the toilets! There is an area for parking the bikes. Lovely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly. Did nit have to wait long for food. Will go again.

We have been here lots of times even Christmas Day the food has always been excellent the staff are very friendly highly recommend

One of my favourite places to visit with friends from just Four friends to the Annual dinner with as many as 27 friends...it always provides great food and excellent service and the setting and atmosphere to complete a great meal..

Lovely fresh cooked food and friendly staff. Nice to go somewhere casual but good value.

Just had the Sirloin steak. Steak cooked to perfection and was melt in the mouth, beautiful thick cut chips and lush mushrooms and peas. Yummy

I went to The Bird In The Hand the other day, which I had omelette and chips and salad which was beautiful, and my dad had ham egg and chip, which he said the same it was very nice, I will be back very soon

I come here every year for my birthday love this pub, friendly staff and excellent food every time. Never been disappointed ⭐️

Had lunch yesterday with our walking group, excellent choices enjoyed the Wiltshire ham ,cauliflower cheese chips and salad was delicious . All my friends said they really enjoyed their meals too and good value .!

Had dinner with 5 friends on Wednesday and had the grilled chicken breast Provençal with raspberry meringue. It was all delicious. We all had different dishes and cleared our plates. We go there every few months and it’s always lovely.

Good environment, great atmosphere and well placed for a stop during walk along railway path. Loved the fact that when l ordered quiche and given the option of having it warm that it arrived with crispy pastry. Some places use microwaves but the quality of food here was excellent.

Food was fab...i had omellette which was lovely and fluffy everything was hot.. and as it was very busy and we were a table of 10 it was very quick and afficent service...staff were friendly and helpful

Despite the snow our party of 9 managed to get to The Bird in hand last night for the celebration of my parents 50th wedding anniversary, the food was excellent and the staff were friendly and very accommodating with my extra requests (thank you to the young lady I left the table decorations with, you did a lovely job and it looked perfect) The food was excellent and was a great evening, thank you.

Cycled there 12/13 may from Speedwell Bristol on Avon Cycle Way, Staff were all friendly, I soaked up the atmosphere here, Loved the experience, Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome and I hope to return soon

Amazing food! Really spoilt for choice of a main course so many lovely things on the menu and specials! Definitely going back to try some more. Lovely friendly staff too.

We found this place by chance we where looking for the pub a bit further down the road but we stayed and had a drink in their beer garden it was a really pleasant couple of hours spent here on a bank holiday
