Great food, but a our meals didn't arrive at the same time.

Very nice, good food, attentive staff, perhaps a bit too attentive.

This Evening had Takeaway from the Birds Nest,(crispy Duck and plum sauce).Awful ! The Duck was wrapped in far to much batter and the skin on the duck was soggy,and the sauce was tasteless.
I was really looking forward to this meal being on a low income it's a bit of a treat,unfortunately not the case.
The Dog was happy once we removed the batter.
Not for me.

Absolutely wonderful,Cosy, quaint and superb food - friends took me there for an evening out and all thoroughly enjoyed the back street parking too.

Had the best tofu here ever had out and the veg curry was lovely. I'd rate as 8/10 for my meal. The meat eater rated their meal as 9/10 stating "delicious" and both of us fussy eaters and harsh raters so shows you how good this meal was! We both would definitely return.

Meal for 4 takeaway was very poor, the duck was inedible, 2 of the other meals were very bland only the Thai curry was average at best, overall extremely disappointed and this was a Saturday early evening so expected it to be at its best

Would not recommend at all and after spending over £40 was very disappointed try somewhere else

I had my first take away from the Birdsnest last night and it will not be my last. The food was extremely tasty. The sweet and sour chicken balls were real fillet and juicy, just as they should be. The chilli beef had proper chilli so I actually got a spicy kick, something I never get from other restaurants. The ribs were tasty and came with some veg and the prawn crackers were light & fluffy and tasty, probably because they were fresh. Best Chinese dish I've had in ages and possibly ever. Well done Birds nest, you've only got to maintain that standard and you've a customer for life. Please don't let me down! :)

We ordered a take away for 3 last night and what a disappointment!

We had prawn toast - lovely,
Pancake rolls - ok but VERY greasy
Salt & pepper ribs - really lovely,
Chefs special randang - tasty and quite nice
Special fried rice - very watery like the rice wasn't drained and the prawns still had their skin on - yuk! Fried rice is usually dryish with lots of soy sauce. The chicken was on top with a red sauce over it making the whole thing very wet - not a wok type fried rice dish at all.
Chicken chow main - very saucy and not many noodles - not very nice,
Lemon chicken - a chicken breast in a dry almost inedible coating of chewy hard plastic like batter - awful!
Sweet & sour pork balls - so over-cooked they had split and were brown & hard. 8 of them went in the bin!

This was a treat for our son, his 1st take away as his brother was away for the weekend and it was a real let down. We have eaten at the restaurant before on a few occasions and have always had great food. The food we ate last night was not great food!

We paid over £40 for the above and half of it went in the bin.

I think 2 stars is fair as the starters and randang we ordered were pretty ok but the rest was at best poor.

Not a great meal when 2 of the dishes ended up in the bin, and a good 1/3rd of the rest too. Wish we had saved our money.
