Santa arrives at the Garden centre 24th November 12 noon with his magical train parade.
Santa will arrive at around noon from the direction of Yarrow Valley Park. It should be possible for people to line that route along Birkacre Road but please take care as it will not be possible to completely close the road to traffic.
Once he has parked up within the centre, Santa will be available for a short period to chat with the children and pose for photographs.
... Santa, meanwhile, will head to the grotto to start work at approx. 1.00 pm. Visits to Santa cost £10 includes a present & a magical tree. Bookings can be arranged here http://www.birkacre.co.uk/…/santa-s-mag ical-grotto-experien…

User

We went to see Santa here last weekend we have three children two with Special

Needs. I called ahead and advises when we would like to go. They were so helpful and really made a normally very stressful experience a pleasure for the children. Thank you xxx

User

We visited today for the first time after a recommendation and drove 30 mins to get here.. we were NOT disappointed! My 3 year old absolutely loved every single part of this. I felt the Santa’s grotto and santa himself was so magical! I absolutely loved it never mind my children. The lady waiting to let you into santa was so lovely and never left our 3 year old and 4month old alone, she was also so accommodating for our 4month old as they had no baby toys left (not that he would understand or know so no big deal) but quickly solved this so he had the best experience just like our 3 year old, so thankyou! More than anything... I love the idea of the toy coming down the chimney with the child’s name on and them having to close their eyes waiting.. so so so magical. We bought a snow globe of our children’s picture with santa and we love it.. it will be up every single year. The train ride was also good as my 3 year old never shut up about how much she enjoyed it.. she didn’t want to get off.

Would like to say a massive thankyou for this experience for our children and to your lovely staff you have on.. they really made us feel welcome. Definitely recommend to others.

The displays are always beautiful, giving plenty of inspiration to would be and experienced gardeners.

There are usually lots of seasonal offers and with the loyalty scheme card ,added bonuses too.

Add to this the giftware and cafe which serves excellent food and you have the perfect destination garden centre, where the staff are helpful and give good advice.

Saw Santa here today with my 2 children aged 3 and 6.

Qued for an hour in magical surroundings and we'll worth the wait...

Best Santa I've ever seen!

Thanks Birkacre xxxx

Recently moved to Adlington and had a leaflet through the door about Birkacre Garden Centre, decided to book the afternoon tea for myself, Mum and sister. Absolutely loved it, all the staff are lovely, food was really tasty and an excellent selection, we will definitely be visiting many more times!

User

My Husband & I visited today with our two girls (2 yrs & 8 months). We went on the train which was fab, my toddler loved it & then we decided to visit Santa’s grotto on the last minute. It was actually due to be closing shortly but the staff managed to fit us in & were more than accommodating! The whole experience was organised & so well done. The waiting area was decorated beautifully which all added to the excitement.

Santa himself was brilliant with the girls, especially my toddler as she is a sensitive & shy little thing. We will definitely be visiting again next year. Thanks for a special experience, it won’t be our last !

Late Mother's day lunch, attentive pleasant staff, I had soup and sandwich followed by chocolate cheesecake and cream , and a cappuccino, the food was very nice, lovely to see the cafe very busy with people enjoying the Spring sunshine, I'll be back soon.

User

I love this garden Centre, selection of plants, and everything g else they sell, the cafe is great, can spend a long time here, and Christmas time is just amazing.

User

I called in today to look at bbq’s. A lovely lady asked if I needed any help and then gave me a demonstration on the bbq I was interested in. She was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. She was very knowledgeable on the products and explained everything to me. I bought the Weber 57cm bbq as they had a very good deal on this model. The lady even put everything in my car for me. I am very happy and will be back again. Excellent customer service. Thank you

User

Had lunch in the restaurant today it was lovely arrived quick..the soup- potato and watercress was gorgeous..any chance of the recipe lol...staff friendly and attentive.

User

Definitely one to visit at Christmas as one of the most festive around! Superb Santa (well worth the wait), fantastic festive train plus terrific displays. Our 4 year old was super excited to see Santa and also loved the new 'hole' experience to see all the miniature displays. Lots of little extras and fabulous staff plus very tasty treats to eat in the restaurant too!

User

Celebrated our Silver Wedding and had some gift vouchers bought for us for the restaurant, we booked in and enjoyed the best Afternoon Tea we have ever had, normally you just get sandwiches but we had a Mini Soup (amazing) Mini Bowl of Chips, plus Quiche and Sandwiches, plus the naughty cakes all of which was amazing, pleasant staff and great value for money, we will definitely be booking again in the near future.

User

Brilliant cafe. Great that there is a Vegan menu and soya milk

User

Had lunch in the cafe/restaurant. Nice food, friendly staff. Half of store blocked off for stock taking and not a great deal of stock in the remaining area to view.

User

Went to the cafe where there are no vegan options so I asked for beans on toast and was advised that they only served that at breakfast (which ended 5 minutes before I ordered). Dry toast for lunch!

I’m feel really sad having to write this as I have been taking my son to see Santa for years here but my experience today has really left me feeling upset & disappointed. When we walked into the grotto Santa was slouched that far back in his chair he looked like he was about to nap- to the point where I uncomfortably said ‘oh Santa looks relaxed’ *nervous laughs* he asked my son what his name was, my son replied ‘I thought you knew my name’ (he is an innocent child) Santa then went on to ask him in a very abrupt tone how on earth am I supposed to know every name in the world- there are millions. Can you tell me every name of every person you have ever met? Well can you? My husband and I were shocked as we could see me son looking confused and getting upset. I tried to change the subject by saying ‘tell Santa what you would like’ By this point I was furious and just wanted to leave. He asked what my son wanted and if he had been good, but he didn’t seem interested. My son asked could he pull the cord to release the present (as he had done in in previous years and remembered(where he said no stand over there and close your eyes.

I know it may seem trivial writing a big long post but I was so disappointed as every visit since my son was young has been so magical & the Santa us always made my son feel special. This was my husbands first visit with us and he was disgusted by the whole experience.

My son always asks for a snow globe with a picture he didn’t want one this time & I don’t want to remember this experience- the lovely man at the photo stand gave my son a key ring & magnet but they won’t be put up.
