Birmingham Arts School

Birmingham Arts School (BAS) is funded jointly by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and The Arts Council. It is the first major project developed by Birmingham Creates, which is the city's Local Cultural Education Partnership (LCEP). The school has been established as an urgently needed boost to arts education in the city, with the aim of extending and deepening the impact of learning partnerships with the city's many outstanding arts and cultural organisations. It will bring new creative learning opportunities to schools across the city, initially targeting communities that need it the most. It will develop new activities for teachers, children and young people through bringing schools and arts organisations together.
