Excellent place with helpful staff & excellent facilities. The first & the largest Masjid in Birmingham or indeed England & maybe Europe.

Brilliant mosque. Has everything a place or worship requires. Do not believe the silly one star ratings and reviews obviously created to by Islamaphobic and islam hating individuals. I can even goes as as far as to say the individuals writing the bad reviews have not even stepped in this mosque. Think about this, would god fearing muslim really go on google to run down a place or worship?

This mosque is open for muslims and non muslims. They organise lots of community events and charity work. During Christmas they did soup kitchen for homeless people of Birmingham. Jummah(Friday afternoon) is always special with Adhaan on loud speaker reminds you of a Muslim country. Imam recites in English, urdu and Arabic.
My favourite reciter is Hafiz Patel with his amazing voice his Quran recitation will put you into a trance like state of peace and calmness.

I used to rate this masjid because they stuck to the hadith of using local moon sighting to determine each new Islamic month but this year for Eid ul Fitr, that went out of the window. When I called to try and ascertain what was going on, I was asked to call back after maghrib only to constantly get the answering machine which admittedly, is a vast improvement from the last time I called when all the phone did, was to ring out. In fact, other than their old website, their comms are really poor and they were super unsupportive when my father passed away. Now, you can't download a PDF of the current month's timetable or even view the whole timetable, they just have prayer timings for the current day which is all well and good, until it comes to trying to set your alarm for fajr the next day. However today as in now, I can't even see that because the stupid website won't even open. I'm also increasingly worried about the amount of innovation that has crept into this masjid's actions such as holding vigils or having condolence books. All in all, I am disappointed with this mosque and seriously reconsidering whether to identify this as my local mosque and therefore, the one I follow for prayer, etc.

A very out-dated mosque and over hyped as something special! This place is very lame and it is run by idiots who are after money. The whole place on the inside reflects the management as I had my bike stolen from inside as well as being shunned by the famous Dr Nasim who was in charge of this shambolic mosque. Things have not improved to this day and people come all over just because it gets mentioned as being the oldest mosque in Birmingham. Do not let this fool you! You can find plenty of mosques which are better in all departments of making you feel welcomed in Islam.

Convenient location, friendly staff, large prayer hall, plenty of parking

One of the few masjids that caters to sisters with a separate women's section and enterance (see pics) I always stop by when travelling.

Plenty of parking and very convenient location. Also has a food bank to help those that are homeless.

Their website displays salah begining times and Jammat times which is really useful.

A very welcoming place of worship where you have people from all ethnic backgrounds.
