Birmingham Medical Institute

The BMI was founded in 1875 as a membership organisation to provide a meeting place and medical library for the medical profession in Birmingham and the surrounding area. Since then we have changed premises and now solely focus on delivering postgraduate training for Health Care professionals within primary care. We are well recognised in the medical community for the quality of CPD events that we have organised over the years. Our speakers are experts in their fields, which enables us to provide thought-provoking and relevant updates on essential topics. The training events that we hold are always either FREE or heavily discounted due to the support from selected sponsors (in line with the APBI guidelines). Pharmaceutical companies enjoy sponsoring our events, because of the good audience size and almost guarantee of a dialogue of significance with a primary care member of staff. We pride ourselves on organising courses that are relevant, and we do this by gathering feedback at the end of all the events, this also enables us to keep up to date with the wants and needs of our delegates.
