Wonderful well worth a visit lovely gardens moat tower palace and cafe triffic
We came for the Greatest Showman screening and had a fantastic time despite the chilly weather.
Really well organised, lovely food and I was particularly impressed by the lack of single use plastic. Biodegradable coffee cups, paper and glass. It just shows what can be done! Well done!
Walked past this place many times on my way to the Cathedral and wish I had visited sooner. Tranquil and fascinating.
Totally wowed by the gardens today, especially the new Winter border. The tulips in the Garden of Reflection leave me speechless - so so beautiful. Love the singular planting which is very effective and the colour against the silver birches is just stunning. Well done to all the gardening team, you make it look easy but we know how hard you work in all weathers - for our pleasure as well as yours hopefully. You can be sure that it is very much appreciated.
This is a lovely family day out cost us around £18 for a family ticket we spent hours wondering around the lovely gardens and the Wells there's a fantastic play park for the kids and right in the heart of Wells so a beautiful view of the catherderal aswell - highly recommend.
The Bishops Palace and gardens are beautiful and well worth a visit . I’m lucky enough to live in Wells and come here often. This medieval gem is really fantastic
Lovely place, beautiful gardens, much larger than I expected.
Took me a while to find the proper facebook page to follow events, search seems to find 2 unofficial pages and not the official one, useless facebook.
Love the Bishop's Palace, love the markets on Wednesday and Saturdays and love Wells. Alway enjoy our visit to the gardens.
Love going in the gardens ,i live in Wells so i go in often so peaceful
Haven't been there properly for a long time. Last time I was there was for the Hamlet production. Loved seeing it again. Really beautiful and amazing. Forgot how big it was. Loved it so much I got the year membership. Will keep going back as many times as I can. Next time will try the food
Excellent place to visit , lots to see and do, family year ticket is great value
Beautiful surroundings, warm and friendly greeting when you arrive and all staff around the garden are knowledgeable and willing to help with any queries on the variety of shrubs and flowers and the history of the peace. Always a quiet place to sit and relax
Beautiful gardens.. I used to help at functions at the palace as s girl guide over 30 years ago. The gardens were not accessible then.. what an amazing space and just a lovely place to be..
Beautiful gardens and wonder round the grounds. Daughter loved the dragons lair play area. Good of coffee and cake in the cafe
Attended the Summer Mayhem Family Day and another excellent event! All the activities are included in the main price - Circus skills, crazy golf, bouncy slide/castle, balloon modelling and more. Our 3 and 5 year old were thoroughly entertained! We took a picnic and sat in the gardens. Wonderful quality time with the family. Thank you!
An amazing, stunning venue. Come here to watch a lot of plays. Bring your own picnic and bubbly or buy some of the gorgeous food at the venue. 5*
A stunning place enjoy every moment of it highly recommend
A lovely place to spend a few hours. If it is rainy you can visit the chapel and the palace, if is dry enjoy a stroll around the ever-changing gardens. Great when other events take place here such as the Taunton Garrison. Look out for all the places you can see that doubled up as France in recent episodes of Poldark.
The guides are very knowledgeable and friendly. The gardens look so different as the seasons change. Make the most of it by buying an annual membership.
Lovely gardens very relaxing. Disappointed that on visiting yesterday we couldn't purchase a ice cream. It was a glorious summers day just right for ice cream to finish off our picnic lunch.
