Welcome to BSGC's Facebook page where we will keep you up-to-date with all that is going on at our popular members' club.
Our well-established 18-hole parkland course has been situated on the outskirts of Bishop's Stortford for more than 100 years, and has something to offer all levels of golfer.
Our smart clubhouse has recently undergone refurbishment and offers a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a drink or delicious food.

We climbed. We conquered. Thank you to all supporters who have helped to raise in excess of £3,000 for the Breast Unit at Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust.
Double Verti-cut then cut behind plus a light dressing of sand afterwards on all the greens this morning.

The new 1st green has been over seeded, spiked and dressed today.
Great day for our Ladies Stableford, enjoy the sunshine 🌞
Greens being scarified today and tomorrow to help speed them up. The tractor bucket is filled with clippings from just the small putting green and the 18th for recycling. That’s a lot of grass!
The next Members Sunday Carvery will be on Sunday 19th May.
1 course is £13.50, 2 courses is £18 and 3 courses is £20.00 Under 12's are half price.

The new first green is beginning to grow in at a pace. It has been hand cut a couple of times now and this really helps to thicken up the sward.
Over seeding will help to infill sparse areas and constant fertiliser feeds keep the grass healthy. The slow progress in February through April highlights how cold the ground gets in this hollow, as head green-keeper pointed out, it’s often the last area of the course to thaw out from snow or frost.
... Regarding how quickly we will be in play on the new green; we are very much at the mercy of the weather. If we have warmer night time temperatures the process will be speeded up.
Our head green-keeper will allow play as soon as the green is good enough and we can use it without damaging it. This is some weeks away currently, however a hot humid spell will quickly turn things around. Bear in mind that new putting surfaces are never great to begin with and will take a while to mature, even when we are playing on it.
