Bishopstonbowen established in 2009 offers Bowen Therapy and The Emmett Technique throughout Bristol

Tom Bowen developed his unique form of bodywork in Australia during the 1950's. The Technique has subsequently spread throughout the world and arrived in the UK in 1993.

Gentle rolling moves are performed over muscles tendons and fascia punctuated by short breaks when the body is allowed to rest. This unusual way of working enables the body to deeply relax with a consequent release of tension and reduction in pain.

Bowen is a living changing therapy with contributions from research in the Fascial system adding to the way Bowen Therapists approach the body and work with the tissues.
