Lovely hotel and facilities. Friendly attentive staff

The hotel is lovely and the service is good. However, Room 4 was very hot for the entire stay, we had the windows wide open all night, but the light outside lights up the whole room. A bin truck arrived at 6:30am, which made an uncomfortable nights sleep even less sleep.

The spa is always booked, and we hadn't noticed this mentioned in the lengthy booking email to book treatments ahead. I had said in my booking that my wife and I have 2 dogs and also want to speak with somebody about treatments, this was obviously missed by the staff, and a one night stay turned out to be relatively pointless.

The spa itself seemed not overly bothered that this had happened, and told us that "spas are usually busy industry wide, and we should have called ahead".

Upon checkout, we weren't asked how are stay was until I said we were quite disappointed with the lack of availability in the spa, and this should be very clear in the email. The response was that the literature provided as part of the booking mentions it - so my point was lost.

Things that would make the experience better:

- in the booking email, or even as part of the booking process, give clientele the opportunity to request spa treatments so a callback can be made to expedite that people staying in a hotel & spa might want to use a spa.

- turn the light off that lights up the building outside the front of the hotel after midnight; it's fine when the curtains are drawn, but the room was so hot, we had to keep them open, and seems unnecessary in the early hours.

- tell staff leaving at the end of the day to leave quietly, and not linger outside the front of the hotel chatting

- install some kind of frosted coating to the bathroom window, as people can see right in, it only needs the bottom few panels covered to offer some amount of privacy (room 4)

- the first question to ask when checking out is, "how was your stay?", The first question we got was, "how will you be settling the bill today?", Which made the experience feel even less desirable.

The hotel is nice, and I would consider a return maybe in autumn or winter when the rooms are cooler. However, we booked a late trip to relax from our time from London, but it basically just turned into a rather expensive dinner stay. A bit disappointing.

Fantastic room with giant bathroom. Excellent facilities at the hotel. Great breakfast.

Very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Check in was smooth and staff were very accommodating. We made use of the spa facilities, which were above average. Dinner was excellent with speedy service. Our room was very clean, cool (on a hot summer day) and we'll decorated. We were also able to bring our pet dog with us, who was allowed in most of the hotel and the patio dining area. Very few complaints at all, the only things that could be improved would be the distance between the car park and rooms, and the price of soft drinks.

Birthday treat from my partner. Outdoor pool is heated so made a nice change to relax outside. The facilities are quite nice, some things are a little dated but overall nothing to ruin the experience. Our deal included lunch (choice of two courses with chance to upgrade to 3 for extra £). We stuck with two as treatment was booked for afterwards, the Prawn cocktail was nice and fresh, and the Sweet Potato & Coconut soup tasted great. The chicken we both chose for our meetings was fantastic. Treatment was great as well, would recommend.

Lovely setting and excellent service. Food and spa were wonderful. Our room was very hot and instead of a proper king size bed, we had two singles pushed together, creating a big dip in the middle. Recommend to visit, but avoid room 4!

Family friendly, quite and comfortable. Can't wait to come back.

Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Food was good although over priced for what it was. The hotel itself is nicely decorated and the club room was very good with a big bathroom. Not quite good enough to be 5 stars as the pool area isn't the nicest. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay all the same and would go again.

An excellent hotel - enjoyed every aspect. Lovely staff.

Just.. check the bill. Found significant errors - twice.
