Its the best vegetarian Sunday lunch that I've had, would highly recommend.

We went for food last night for the first time and we would definitely recommend it. Great food and service! Very generous portions, especially the burgers! I'm a vegetarian and there was a good choice on the menu too. We'll be returning. �

We went for Sunday lunch. and we had the family feast for two 4 large yorkshire pudding 3 different meats roast potatoes and lots of veg. We really enjoyed it will keep coming back to 42. The staff are all nice and friendly

This is a great place to visit for food or just drinks. The cocktails are excellent, there is a very good wine list, the food is delicious, with a wide choice on the menu with specials also available and all such good value. The service is so efficient I can highly recommend Bistro 42.

Just had a birthday meal with the family, and cannot rate the food and staff highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble for our Romanian head of house- great guy, very personable and friendly. The waitresses were also attentive, friendly and a great asset to the restaurant. Highly recommend a visit.

Had the best meal I had ever tasted tonight here and am never disappointed by the food the staff are always super friendly. It’s one of the best restaurants in Wakefield.

Friendly atmosphere Good value food and plenty of choice on the menu

Came today and had chicken skewers my son had the steak absolutely delicious staff lovely and really helpful was a pleasure to dine with you we’ll be back

Went for my birthday. Booked a few weeks in advance as I'd been told it gets busy. Service and food was excellent, large portions and speedy service. We will be back 😊

Great place to eat, drink and socialise. Lovely, lovely staff really attentive , friendly staff who always provide excellent service. Lovely food and a free starter always goes down well .

Service good,veg rock hard and pate more like soft moose.

Went for Sunday lunch, will not return in a hurry, poor quality meats , not much veg for two people, and bread and butter pudding was the size of a kids portion. Very disappointed.

Usually a good place but went last night and ordered steak. Unable to cut through it as it was so tough so left the majority of it. After providing feedback at the end of the meal i was lectured by the manager about why i didnt make more of a fuss. Not a pleasant experience and one i wont be in a rush to relive!!

Never again very slow and poor service orderd chicken well think it was chicken and about 3 lettuce leafs. Young waitress after I complained could not resist flashing the dirty looks. I will never eat in there again.

Normally ok but didn't enjoy it yesterday. My sisters jacket potato was a brown colour on the inside, my husbands burger was pink in the middle. I got Chips with my meal and my sister ordered some on a separate order but when the food came out she only brought one bowl of chips out and when we asked about the ones my sister ordered she said did you order two and then said they were both of ours. Customer service wasn't the best.
