Went to Bistrot Pierre for the first time yesterday evening with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Food was beautiful (I can thoroughly recommend the duck salad, the pork medallions and the tarte au citron), and the service was first rate. We'd go back to Bistrot Pierre any time.

Surprised by my husband today for our 30th wedding anniversary

Food was amazing and really friendly helpful staff will definitely be returning �

Superb evening.. celebrated our daughters 21st Birthday.. food excellent..sea bass was exceptional!.. waitress (Bianka) was friendly and place was buzzing ..lovely atmosphere, delicious food ..we were looked after extremely well,not rushed and were able to enjoy ourselves in a very relaxed manner! Will definitely be returning.Thanks for making our evening so special..even a birthday candle in our daughters dessert! Great place.

Service, food and wine excellent, highly recommend the mushroom brioche and baked cod. A lovely treat and pleasant atmosphere to meet and chat over good food x

Love Bistrot Pierre. We've been coming for years. Delicious food, excellent wine (and at a reasonable price) and the staff are alway cheerful and courtious, even on a sweltering hot evening. What better way to spend a birthday or even attending a friend's wedding reception as we did a couple of weeks ago

Great night for my mums 60th birthday! Excellent food and service! Unfortunately both my kids fell ill due to a virus and whilst there went downhill again and didn’t eat much food at all. They didn’t charge for their meals which was such a lovely gesture. Can’t thank them enough ���

Another enjoyable meal all round,My father in law is a fussy eater but he loves dining here with us and the house white wine is the best.

After a break of many years..Pierre Victoire era. I went for a meal at the Nottingham branch of Bistrot Pierre and had a very disappointing experience. However I've now dined in Derby 3 times with individual friends and also once to attend a group party booking where there were 17 of .us... and they have never put a foot wrong. It's an ideal meeting place for Ladies who lunch, family meals, celebrations. The food is well prepared, beautifully presented and service is friendly and efficient and comes with a smile. Keep it up, and I'll see you soon!

Absolutely fantastic experience. The table we booked was slightly late, however I'm not surprised as we stayed later than expected also. We were given vouchers for cheaper drinks at a local bar, and a free bottle of rose once our table was ready. Food was absolutely beautiful and staff so attentive and lovely. Thank you so much x

My only complaint is the price of drinks...very expensive. Just order jug of iced tap water (free)

Cannot fault the 6 course set dinner. Each course arrived promptly, we did not have to wait long between each and importantly the food was cooked just right. We chose a Pinot grigot which was devine. We were seated upstairs and served by several staff each was polite and chatty withou being intrusive. The only blot on this was we asked if we could have special coffees at the end followed by two of the Gin cocktails. The Tia Maria coffee did not taste like it had much of the liquor in it, and the two Gins never turned up. In your defence after several minutes the amount of food we had consumed caught up with us, so we decided to give the gin a miss. Would we come again? Certainly.

Beautiful food, great service. Server talked very fast though and I struggled to keep up, he seemed rushed although that didn't interfere with service. But pricey for lunch but the quality of the food made up for it. Lovely atmosphere and decor and even though it was busy we didn't feel like we were squashed in. Only small complaint is that the tables were covered in what looked like crumbs because of them being real wood and having grooves where the grain is. Maybe running a brush over each table when clearing up wouldn't go amiss.

Besides that, absolutely lovely place, polite service and amazing food. Would definitely go again

Lovely venue went for lunch had the salmon starter whitch was light and refreshing, steak and fries nothing special, fries thiner than McDonald's, a little limp salad leaves on the side.. Steak OK, cheese and biscuits lovely strawberry dessert was fine, service by our waiter was great, our meal was booked for 2pm,the restaurant was empty by 3ish,we were still on dessert and had a drink to finish, the staff were clearing away which is fine but we felt we should hurry up and get out.. Felt a bit in there way..

Thank you for accommodating our group on our recent visit to celebrate a special birthday.

The evening felt rushed and stressed because upon arrival I was greeted with "how long are the rest going to be?" and "we need the table back at 9pm," at no point during the reservation or email correspondence was I informed of this. This was brought about because 2 of our guests were 20 minutes late in arriving. (They had travelled up from London to be with us)

The reason for booking with Bistrot Pierre was because we have always enjoyed the service, atmosphere and most importantly the food. I had to return my main meal because it was warm not hot another guest had the same meal I tasted their's and in comparison mine was cold. The guests with the Pork also made a remark to the temperature of the meal.

When the four pre-ordered desserts arrived the waitress presented them at one end of the table and the guests simply said they had not ordered dessert, to which her rather abrupt reply was "yes you have" I heard this take place so I motioned her to come to the other end of the table. I take on board that a Saturday evening would be a very busy night for the staff, however I don't expect it to be taken out on your guests.



I wanted to express my disappointment in the above because I've always had pleasant visits, and that these remarks are addressed with the appropriate people.

Sorry to say we had the 7 course set menu which on the face of it seemed like good value , but the duck 3 of us had was terrible couldn't even cut it never mind chew it, was replaced with steak but by then had gone off eating it . The pudding was awful just don't know what it was nobody liked it . Shame really with a little more thought could have been excellent and good value . The staff were however very good �

Sorry our table of 12 were not impressed. Slow drinks order, 20 minutes from sitting down and it was table service only. Worked out over £7 a pint which is crazy money. Food was ok, but very small portions for the prices. Cheese board had only four crackers and a couple of mouthfuls of cheese. Very disappointing as the place is beautiful. We won’t be returning to eat here again.

Had bacon in my starter when was told it you can have it without.

Very disappointing meal come home without dinner as it’s made me feel sick �

Dreadful food frozen fish and food served cold . Never used to be like this food was always good . Won’t waste my money in here again. Shame as it was a treat for my mother in laws birthday .

We're busy' Appalling service. Rude staff, and when the food did arrive there was hardly any of it. I will never be coming here again.
