Went last night after a weekend in Stratford. Couldn’t get in on the Friday night as we hadn’t booked so booked for the Saturday night instead. We then made the mistake of going to Cafe Rouge as a substitute. I 110% would never go back to Cafe Rouge and 110% go back to Bistro Pierre. Cafe Rouge was average, the service was standard and the bill was £80. Bistro Pierre was fantastic. Lovely atmosphere, very attentive staff and the food, wow. 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 large glasses of wine and 2 pints=£66. A complete bargain, especially when compared to the other supposed French cuisine in the town centre. Free bread and butter to start off with along with a free jug of water and the portions of food were huge. We wish we hadn’t eaten the bread as we struggled to finish our mains off. If anything they’re missing a trick by the bread as without it we may have been able to have a desert too lol. The place was packed out yet we were in and out in an hour and a half. The French chap on shift was great, it was someone’s birthday and he started off with a very loud “Happy Birthday” which many joined in with singing followed by most of the restaurant clapping. Lovely atmosphere and fair play. If you luxery dining for minimal money then this is the place. I can see why this place is so highly rated. Booking is a must. We will be coming back to Stratford and this will be where we have our meal out without a doubt. 10/10.

We had a 2 course lunchtime special and the food was delicious and great value for money. Staff were friendly (felt like they were one short as they were a little over ran) but overall I'd recommend it and would certainly visit again.

We had a family meal here yesterday and the food and service was absolutely fantastic we could not fault it.

This is a lovely restaurant in Stratford. The location is beautiful just by he river and the food was amazing. We had a lovely birthday meal with excellent service and the bill was very reasonable £90 for two and we had three courses a lovely bottle of Merlot and Kit Royales as an aperitif and the quality of the food I expected to pay a lot more. Will definitely be going back xxx

Never been able to fault it. Love the food and the service is great!

My boyfriend and I visited this evening for the first time, while here on holiday.

The staff were polite and attentive.

The atmosphere was pure tranquility.

The presentation was beautiful.

The food was absolutely amazing (one million thanks - Irish saying!) to the talented chef.

I highly recommend this beautiful, stunning French restaurant :)

Love it here and have eaten here every time we visit Stratford. Fabulous food, lovely friendly and helpful staff. And the two course pre theatre menu is excellent value for money. Can highly recommend.

User

I love this place. Well worth my long journey from north Midlands as Stratford lovely for a stroll around too. Allow yourself plenty of time for a leisurely lunch or dinner. The service is excellent, polite, and always exceeds my expectations. The food is exquisite.

Here for a short break and dined here last night - amazing vegetarian Tagine with tabbouleh, and prawn salad with capers, waiting staff pleasant, nice atmosphere, good portion sizes, served quickly , only criticism is the woman welcoming us was really unwelcoming!

User

Had breakfast there at the weekend. The staff were amazing and ensured that my food was gluten and dairy free. Highly recommended for anyone with allergies. My hubby and daughter also loved their ‘normal’ breakfast ...lots of choice.

First time in Stratford . Had dinner at the Bistrot Pierre . The food was amazing , staff very good would defiantly recommend and use again .

User

Excellent food served by professional yet friendly staff, we ate Sunday evening and can heartily recommend the weekend set two course menu with a half litre of house wine each. We went onto to have desserts too with sides and our bill was still under £60 for two, really good value for good quality food and wine.

Decided to spend New Years Eve at Bistrot Pierre, been many times before, food was excellent as always, especially the chorizo roasted in honey! Staff were very busy, but still amazingly attentive and made sure everything was okay. Don't know how you produce such excellent food for the prices, but keep it up, will be back soon!

Went there last night for a 60th birthday meal.

The meal was fantastic (as normal) and the service from Cedrik was memorable.

We will go again. Without thinking.

Your thinking why have I knocked off one star.... well the duty manager or manager there that served out starters last night could be taught a lesson or two from Cedrik.

I ordered the starter of Brioche de champions.... but a Ramequin de champions turned up. We were asked who's it was and I replied I didn't order that. We got the snotty response of 'well I've got this so where's it Going' We replied. I didn't order that and told him what I had ordered. He then told a waiter going past to swap it. There was no apology just served the other food and we never saw him again.

Cedrik came over and apologised and the correct starter was ordered. The manager or who ever he was should have at least been nicer than he was. So much so it actually spoilt my evening as I was fuming to how I was treated as a customer, the attitude the person in charge gave and for me feeling like I had to explain myself. Yet the waiter Cedrik was the total opposite and even sang happy birthday to the birthday girl.

Cedrik made this meal memorable! And he is the reason of 4 stars. (Would be 5 if the manager treated me better)

Great food and service, only problem for me is that I prefer my vegetables to be cooked an option for more cooking would be nice but this is a fault of most restaurants sadly. Worth a visit

Booked a table to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary. A bit dubious after booking because of some recent reviews. However all staff and the food were very good and if it wasn't for the fact we lived over 100 miles away we would certainly come back again!

We do go to Bistrot Pierre for special occasions, but tbh it just wasnt that special last night on valentines day- it could have been any other night. Usually good about being gluten free but no effort made to provide me with alternatives i just went without, my husband ended up with 4 servings of bread! Steak very grisly and portions not generous, will have to think again where we go in future

Having been a customer at Bistro Pierre in Stratford for several years I was appalled at the terrible service this time. We had to wait for over an hour for our main courses after sat in front of our dirty starter plates for all this time. We had three young children with us. Staff were extremely inattentive and unconcerned when we complained. Very disappointed.
