Very tasty food, good wine and nice staff. Would love to come back for dinner.

Our first time. We loved it. Food and service was excellent. The only thing that let it down was no gluten free bread was given at the same time as my husbands bread & butter. So just had to sit there and watch him eat it. Gluten free was very easy to see and order. Food was delicious. Just the one minor issue but it did disappoint me

I went to the restaurant as a four for a pre Theatre dinner . The staff are lovely and service good even though they were very busy being Easter Sunday. The food was excellent and very reasonable . We will definitely return. Thank you.

Had the pre-theatre meal - I chose the brioche as a starter and then chicken in a red wine sauce with lovely choice of vegetables - both were absolutely delicious. Fab food, fab view of the bay - what's not to love

Fabulous meal. After a long day drive to Devon from Suffolk Monday, we so enjoyed our burgers, although they did forget to take out the gherkins. A glass of wine went down nicely. Mine topped up with soda water. Dessert - I could have eaten two strawberry mess if I was not full.

Brillant evening with great food and drink and the staff were excellent. We tried the set menu of 6 courses and we were really pleased

Arrived late without reservation, was seated straight away on second floor overlooking the beach, service was impeccable, food was fresh, affordable and full of flavour. Would defiantly come back!

Yesterday myself, my friend and my elderly parents enjoyed lunch at Bistrot Pierre. We were seated straight away and told the specials and any adjustments to the lunch menu. I had the carpaccio from the specials, my friend had the mushrooms, Mum had rabbit terrine and Dad the soup de jour (tomato and red pepper). All 4 dishes were superb. Our mains followed 25 mins later. I had the pork medallions (sauce is divine but quite rich), both my friend and mum had the steak and Dad had the beef bourguignon. Again we all enjoyed the meals. Dessert followed very slowly but again was delicious. Our advice leave plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely lunch. We would most certainly visit again.

We had a late lunch today..we had pre booked a table ....3.30...waited in the queue 15 Mins to say we we had arrived...to abruptly be told go down stairs...we did as we where told ...lol !

Well long story short in the

We ended up with great table...the staff where very attentive ...enough on it but not in your face.

I had the goats cheese and walnuts salad to start ...ok To be honest there was a lot of leaves, and a whole chicory heart!...maybe half a walnut and a few chips of goats cheese...if there was a dressing I didn’t notice it..

My Hub had the had the calamari stunning! Whole squid in a very light batter cooked to perfection.!

We then both had the fish dish of the day ,the hake with broccoli...the tiny bit of fish we had was beautiful pipping hot, shame that the broccoli that it was served with was cold ...and there was a complete and otter absence of sausage as described on the menuand hake is such a delicate flavour why would you serve parsnips as a side ?

Deserts: cream brûlée.....AMAZING...do it have it !

Hub had the cheese and biscuits good cheese, doddgie biscuits...cheddars and Jacob cream crackers

We then both a double had espresso and brandy to finish...I can truly say it was the worst coffee I’ve ever had!

Visited yesterday with my best friend for her birthday. The service and food was excellent, highly recommend the pork on the lunch menu! However, we had to leave very quickly due to another coustomer spilling a whole glass of wine all over my white blouse by accident. This could have been avoided if the tables weren’t so close together. I was disappointed with my first experience here but was not due to the staff or food.

Excellent environment and food was delicious. The only thing that stopped me giving it a five star was the waitress service. We asked for another round of drinks and they never came until we had to remind another waitress that we had ordered drinks.

User

Arrived as a walk in, got a table straight away, food was lovely, service was a little slow. Very good overall.

User

The food was amazing, as always. Beautifully cooked with a lovely balance of flavours, and the service was generally good. However, once seated upstairs it became unbearably hot, which was only exacerbated by eating and drinking. By the end of the meal we couldn't wait to leave and walk by the sea, in January and without our coats. We were only seated for an hour, but it felt like an eternity in the fires of hell.

Booked table for 5.30 pre theatre dinner. Due to roadworks we were delayed by 15 minutes. Arrived 5.45 and restaurant was a third full. Ten minutes after we sat down we were asked if we would like drinks. We requested 2 carafes of wine one house red and house white. We also said we were ready to order food and the waiter said he would log in the wine and be right back. Twenty minutes later still no wine nor our orders taken. After requesting someone to take our order it was now nearly 6.30. Wine eventually arrived. Had starters and time was ticking! At 7pm we were extremely concerned that we would in fact get our main courses. Again we voiced our concerns only to be told ours was the next on the pass!! 7.05 our mains arrived. Bearing in mind it was a 10 min walk to theatre and 7.30 start. This was not acceptable Bistro Pierre. Bill to settle, comfort stop etc. Yes we were 15 minutes late but that still allowed us 1hr 45. Food was ok but unfortunately 10 minutes to eat a main course was impossible. Sadly I wont be risking it again.

User

Really poor experience with the food ,hair in my pate for starter, then my other half ordered a vegetarian halloumi salad and was served a chicken salad which she started to eat before she realised what it was ,the manager was very apologetic and took the meals from our bill but it spoilt the evening as it was my birthday,on this experience i would not recommend the food ,but a lovely place to go to have a drink and enjoy the view

User

Booked table for 5pm so didnt like being told , whilst finishing dessert, that we had to leave our table at around 6.30pm, as it was needed for a booking at 6.45pm apparently.

The manager didn’t have the ability to resolve the situation properly so I regard your customer service as very poor.

User

I just had lunch and I am still still sitting at the table. I complained and no one came to see me. We are locals and used to be regulars, now never again. I will make sure I tell my friends.

User

I have previously written a 5* review on Trip advisor, excellent meal and excellent location. I was a regular customer.

On the occasion of a friends birthday meal on 24th May, and a booking at 8.00pm for 8 people the standard of food was low, the service poor, quite frankly a disgrace to the high standard that is expected of Pierre's. It took forever to order drinks, forever to get them, and we had to ask for the bread.

Three members of the group ordered the Beef Bourguinon which is a favourite of ours, usually tender and very tasty meat with a melt in the mouth consistency.

Not on this occasion, we were presently with a lump of fat and sinew, could barely get a knife through, had one mouthful which was not a pleasant experience, two other members of the birthday group returned their meals also. Three out of eight meals were sent back, all beef bourguinon ! There were also no shallots or bacon which we usually have and are advertised, just a few sorry looking mushrooms that looked like they were an after thought. Disgusted with the meal.

We were told we could have a fresh meal which one member accepted, unfortunately this too was not edible, the vegetables cold and the other five people had eaten...Very bad.... The young girl apologised, it was hardly her fault... We did not get to see a manager... Three of us left after just having a starter and bread, the one star is for the bread which was lovely...
