Bite The Bullet Description
We have been going for twelve years and have become very tight-knit. The Band play covers to suit all tastes – Oasis, Bryan Adams, REM, ZZ Top, Elvis, Greenday, Pink, Van Morrison. . . and more. The list is always evolving as each member of the Band throws in a suggestion that the others promptly throw out again! But seriously, we have diverse roots in music which contributes to our varied set list.
So far this year the Band are on tour, landing at: The Chequers, Streatley; The Cornerstone, Shefford; Cotton End Village Hall; The Greyhound, Haynes; Sue Ryder, Moggerhangar; The Kings Arms, Sandy. When they’re not playing on stage the Band are hard at work practising new songs and refining their set list.

Band members are:
Vocals - Rob Paton
Joined the band as an innocent youth and that was soon knocked out of him. Is also pursuing solo singing.
Drums - Darren McKenna
‘The big fella’ at the back keeps a steady driving beat. As they say, ‘Drummers are people who hand around with musicians’. Darren has played on the bigger stage, even playing at Wembley Stadium. Unfortunately, he supports Leicester City FC but nobody’s perfect.
Bass and Vocals - Les Whitlam
Our ever-present Yorkshire man who has been with this band and previous incarnations (i. e. Rhythm & Booze) since the outset. In fact, it was Les who started the Band – well we have to blame someone!
Lead guitar - Will White
Will combines his time with gaining a first class degree at Bedford University, managing three boisterous youngsters and playing some blistering solo work that has been known to take paint off the walls. He’s said to own in excess of six guitars, only ever finding one at a time.
Rhythm guitar, Mandolin, Synthesizer and Vocals - Mick White
Father to the aforementioned, Michael has played in bands for over 50 years – you would think he should know better by now. He’s had a lot of fun along the way and still enjoys every minute. Mick has a very diverse taste in music – Pink Floyd, Hendrix, Fairport Convention, James Taylor, Pachelbel’s Canon and many other genres.
