WHERE THE F*CK HAVE I BEEN?
I've not posted in flippin ages but I've been busier than ever before.
My time has been split between serving my mega awesome PT clients and building a damn amazing online business that is going to make your fat loss so much easier.
... Fat Loss & Lols are all about making fat loss SAF (simple as f*ck).
Our two biggest strengths are making it SAF to get started but also keeping it SAF to keep it going.
We love a bit of fat loss but we're also big on lols.
Losing weight doesn't have to suck arse. Life's too short to be miserable but who wouldn't want to f*ck off a few pounds of unwanted body fat, right?
BIG things are coming over the next few months.
If you want to start making fat loss SAF and less boring give us a like (link in the comments).

MENOPAUSE COULD ALREADY BE SABOTAGING YOUR WEIGHT LOSS
You might feel tired, stressed, overwhelemed, anxious, irritable or just struggling with energy and weight loss.
Menopause symptoms can commonly start to show up in your 30's and often go undetected.
... Things like lack of sleep & poor nutrition might be the cause but it could also be hormonal or lifestyle related.
Just trying to diet more aggresively if the menpause is making things hard could actually make things even harder for you.
I am now working closely with my female clients and a menopause expert to deliver the very best support and results.
We are focusing on sleep, stress, nutrition, exercise and discussing more in depth topics such as HRT and whether it's necessary.
If you're struggling with weight loss, motivation and energy and are worried it could be menopause related then get in touch and let's see if I can help....

THE ULTIMATE FAT LOSS MEAL
First up there's no such thing. Secondly if there was, this wouldn't be it (there's virtually no carbs here).
Carbs get a bad reputation as the reason people gain weight but as you'll hear me say REPEATEDLY it's all about calories in vs calories out in terms of weight loss\gain.
... 'But cutting out carbs worked for me \ my friend'......
Yes it probably did. Because it cut your calories down. You could equally have
- Reduced your daily fat intake - Reduced portion sizes - Reduced alcohol intake - Reduced size \ frequency of your weekend blowouts
Try not to make your meals too restrictive or too boring otherwise you might find yourself with some serious cravings tht you can't control.
Carbs are not ESSENTIAL for life but if you want to feel great, train hard and not avoid social events they're pretty useful.
Finding a way of creating a calorie deficit that works for YOU that you can be CONSISTENT with week in week out is the key to long term success.
Once you do that you have a healthy lifestyle and not just a short term diet.
Wouldn't you rather have a sensible & balanced approach to your eating habits that you can enjoy without stress and anxiety?

I'VE HAD ENOUGH
I was merrily minding my own business trying to help runners get faster safe in the knowledge that those wanting to lose weight would be just fine.
Sadly some of the advice I've heard people being given in the last few weeks have led me to once again realise that things are getting harder and more confusing for you - not easier.
... It has reignited my passion to make weight loss is simple and succesful as possible for you.
Reminding myself that sometimes just telling people the fundamentals is enough to get them started. Not only that but there is no such thing as a silly question.
So if you want to lose weight and have tried \ failed in the past or just have no clue what is best for YOU (remember your circumstances are unique) then give me a shout.
I will be posting regularly on this page to help as many of you as possible but please get in touch if you have something you need.
All my advice is backed by science and a massive helping of empathy and understanding of you as as individual.

ARE YOU A PARKRUNNER?
Parkrun is awesome for 2 things - enjoyment & aiming for PB's.
We all know the feeling of hitting a PB is one of the big things that contributes to that enjoyment though.
... With that in mind I have put together a little blog for you on how to improve your 5k time - LINK IN COMMENTS

COUCH TO 5k - THEN WHAT?
The hardest part about running is getting started and then staying consistent enough to see progress and eventually enjoyment.
The first milestone is usually ti complete a 5k such as the weekly parkrun or annual race for life.
... Support for what to do AFTER you get that glorious 5k under your belt is hard to come by.
You have 2 realistic options - work towards completing a 10k or improving your 5k time.
There will most definitely be improvements to be had for quite a while but knowing how to unlock the is the hard part.
NEW BLOG - 5 Ways To A Faster 5k is linked in the comments section.
As always, I'd love to hear what questions you have so have a read of the blog then post below.......

NOT SURE WHERE TO START WITH RUNNING?
It might sound flippin obvious as to where to start but do you need more than just a pair of trainers?
What should you wear? How do you warm up? Should you stretch? How far \ fast should you go?
... Often we use these kind of questions as excuses not to start in the first place.
That's why I created the first run checklist as part of my online couch to 5k program.
Do you want to get fit and enjoy the great outdoors but have no clue where to start?
What's your biggest question or thing that's holding you back right now?

FIVE THINGS THAT DON’T ACTUALLY AFFECT YOUR WEIGHT......
Would be more accurate. How this kind of nonsense can be passed of as sound scientific based advice makes me sad.
What are your thoughts? Do you trust sources like the BBC when they say they’ve used ‘experts’ or that a ‘study shows’?

DO YOU HATE RUNNING IN THE RAIN?
I'll admit that I try and avoid it whenever I can and totally understand how much of a deterrent it can be - especially when you don't like running much in the first place.
Couch to 5k? Dude - I've got a comfy sofa, netflix and a nice cozy house, I'll pass!
... The thought of enjoying running might seem somewhat far fetched, let alone runing in the rain.
I can guarantee 2 things though.
1) If you give running a chance and follow a smart program (think couch to 5k) you'll learn to love it and even crave it.
2) It's going to rain less now that it's spring \ summer.
I know that second one is a bold and brave statement to make but I'm so sure of the first one that I'm willing to take a punt on the second.
So if your friends all seem to have gone mad with the running bug or you just want to run for weight loss or a bit of alone time and head space then why not give it a go.
I'm gong to run another online Couch to 5k program now that it's warmer - fancy it?
Comment below or share \ tag your friends if this sounds like something you'd like to know more about.

MARATHON RUNNERS - HAVE YOU RECOVERED YET?
Same applies to anyone that has done some intense exercise recently.
If you really push yourself you may end up with quite bad muscle soreness making stairs at toilet breaks somewhat painful.
... But the worst thing you can do is to become inactive as this will actually slow down the recovery process.
You might not feel like going for a personal best but a gentle jog or training session will get you back to peak condition much faster than smashing extra food and slumping on the sofa.
How do you like to deal with muscles soreness?
Any questions?
