Very cosy pub. Great beers. Very popular. Had a paddle of 3 beers which was a good way to sample the wares. Partner had a fruit tea (something for everyone). Service was a bit unfriendly.
This is a lovely old pub with plenty of character. Bar staff were pleasant. They have a good selection of ales which I think are brewed on site. On the whole a smashing place to visit for a quick tipple.
We had our Sunday roast here. The food was ample & delicious. It was really enjoyed.
The staff were very friendly towards us which made our visit worthy. Yes we would return. Also Pug friendly, so a deffo thumbs up from me :)
Only downside is that the pub has no parking. However, there is paid parking a short distance away.
Fab room, awesome breakfast. In family room as only one left but only charged us for a double room. Pub food very good too. Clean and nice atmosphere. Would definitely come again 😁
Plenty of seating, nice food and beer. Very friendly and competent waiting staff. Dog friendly. Excellent range of beers some brewed on the premises. The food was a bit expensive for what it was but that seems par for the course for the Lake District and Coniston in particular.
Home of Coniston Brew Co. Excellent location in one of the most beautiful places in England, dog friendly but no backpacks. Perfect for a peak to pub walk from the Old Man of Coniston.
Lovely Cumbria Pub feel, sat in a snug on the right hand side with two dogs. Not the most aesthetically pleasing bar but with a decent atmosphere. Has a fine selection of local Conniston Ales. The food was enjoyable as you would expect for pub grub, I would recommend this to people visiting, particularly the Cumberland Sausage!
Very nice pub food. Fantastic beer brewed on the premises. Great choice of food and beer. Staff were very helpful and friendly and made a suggestion that I could take some bottles home
Powerfully good beer, friendly service and dog friendly. Didn't try the food but did manage to try all of the draught beers. It is entirely possible we got slightly drunk.
I think I counted 11 beers on tap before I lost the ability to see. Proper pub.
