Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious, but the portions are huge! Certainly good value for money.

Lovely room, comfortable and welcoming. Friendly staff. Steak night on Thursday excellent value and delicious main course. Occasional hiccups with restaurant service on the Friday (when it was very busy) but overall a pleasant stay.

My wife and I spent 2 nights at this welcoming and friendly hotel in the heart of Northumberland. Ideally located within easy driving distance of Kielder Water, Hexham and Hadrian's Wall, the hotel was delightfully cosy, and the staff could not have been more helpful. Our room was clean and had all the facilities one expects (including a walk-in en suite) and the food was excellent. We'll be back!

I've tried the chicken liver parfait, the stuffed chillies and the curry. The chicken liver parfait and the curry were quite nice, I'd say 4 stars out of 5. The stuffed chillies were very good. A small pub with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. And the nearby bridge across the North Tyne offers a nice walk after dinner.
