Well what I can I say other than Nikki, Stev and all the team at The Black Lion have pulled it off again...

For those of you who may not have heard the Black Lion has a Gin Festival running all this week and needless to say I have been there sampling some of the 94, yes 94 on offer.

However I also decided to opt for the Tipsy Tea with the lovely Avril ... a quirky spin on your traditional English Tea...where the only thing being drunk from the teacup was Gin...the food was delicious along with the surroundings and subtle livr Jazz bein played in the background. The service as always top notch.

So if you haven't ventured there yet, l strongly recommend you do ... you will be spoilt for choice along with different street foods on offer each evening... and if there is still availability you may sill have the chance to take advantage of the Tipsy Tea..note this needs to be booked in advance.... Visiting from America with great friends from Leighton Buzzard and stopping in for a few pints as often as we can. The best Pub in town and glad to be able to visit again!!

The BEST pub in Leighton Buzzard! Great staff�... Loving the Gin Barn, if you like Gin then you must go and try some, over 100 different Gins!!! Lovely garden too ... �

So lucky to have this pub in our town. A great range of drinks, served by friendly staff. The festivals (beer, cider, Gin) take it to another level!

Lovely evening with friends sitting outside. The gin bar was amazing, only downside was too much choice! Impressed with the pork pie and cheese selection and with the wonderful staff. What a brilliant place!

I have already posted a thank you message on my FB page but feel the need to post here too. For anyone wishing to host a function , the Black � was fantastic. They hosted my 50th on Saturday eve , amazing. Excellent venue , the Barn bar was just ideal. The staff were very attentive and the garden area was ideal. Perfect for smokers and non smokers alike. They are happy for you to provide bands too and plenty of space to serve food or , as we did , have caterers in. Thanks again Nicki , Stev , Billy and everyone else. An awesome night. Huge thanks.

Great atmos, friendly staff and fantastic festivals all through the year celebrating all things booze. What more could you want from a pub!

Excellent traditional boozer, great landlord and landlady lovely staff, very friendly town centre pub, has done an amazing job on the barn out the back, so different to how I remember it as a boxing ring :) carry on the good work.

DJ'd the New years party last night what a feb bunch of people had a lot of fun.

Cosy pub, no telly, no music except the ocassional live act. It's a great place to drink and talk or just drink!

Best pub in town!! Staff are brilliant, so friendly and helpful and happy to spend time suggesting new drinks! The barn is amazing, it's like something you'd find in London but it's on our very own doorstep, you can't beat it on a summers afternoon. Selection of gins are outstanding, I have been totally ruined now, any other pub just doesn't hit the mark! The pork pies and cheese boards are a perfect accompaniment. Bravo! Keep up the good work!

Awesome proper pub. Very lovely staff always happy to help me choose one of their delicious ales. Great little touches that make the place unique and worth a visit. Always a great atmosphere and the festivals are always brilliant

Was enjoying a nice drink last night in the hustle and bustle of the pub but was ruined by some blonde bimbo talking about farts and how she likes to Amazonian her husband (whatever that means). Thankfully a member of your staff asked her to turn down the volume, personally I was surprised but I thought the high pitched level her discussion was taking place at could only be heard by dogs.



Sadly your member of staff cut the conversation short and I am yet to understand what an Amazonian in this situation refers to.

Say it’s fanily friendly but not really. Was kicked out because my babe in arms ‘was under 18’ past 5pm (fast asleep in my arms not making a sound!) We also had bottle of tonic left that went to waste because we weren’t allowed to be served another drink!
