We left Frank for a trial night before he stays in May and July and we couldn’t be happier. It’s the first time we’ve left him with anyone other than family so we were nervous but there was no need to be - we were kept updated throughout the day with pictures and videos and he came home exhausted from all the playing; a sign he had a great time! Feel so much better about leaving him again in the coming months. Thank you Nina! X

Took Ralph for a sleepover yesterday & he’s very timid so I was very nervous & anxious about leaving him as it’s his first sleepover away from family, once I left him I had no doubt he was in safe hands. I was sent pictures & updates of ralphs stay which made me less guilty for leaving him �. Picked him up this morning & the difference in him is unbelievable, he didn’t want to come home. Would highly recommend without any doubts.A home away from home.

Rodney has just been for his first mini break and he’s had a brilliant time. It’s so nice to find somewhere for him to stay where he can run around and play with other sausages and it’s great to be able to relax knowing he’s being well looked after. Nina and Russ are great and clearly love all the sausages that come and stay with them. Lovely Facebook videos and pictures too while you’re away to keep you posted on all their antics! Our little man Reggie went to stay with Nina and family overnight. I was super excited to see all the other sausages opening the door! Nina kept sending updates and pictures throughout the day which really put my mind at rest as it was Reggie’s first night away. When we picked Reggie up he was happily playing away and he slept the whole car ride home(had obviously had lots of fun)!! We hope Reggie can visit again in the future ����

Our little bundle of joy Buddy went to stay with Nina and her husband Russ for 3 night's and had a brilliant time. He was clearly extremely well looked after and seemed extremely comfortable with Nina and Russ and there two sausages Eric and Frankie. Buddy is an extremely snugly dog, more than most, and he definitely got all the cuddles he needed and was kept cosy next to the log fire. Nina was extremely flexible and understanding when we had problems getting Buddy to them due to the "Beast From The East". Best of all Nina kept us constantly updated on bud the whole time we were away with photos, videos, and updates, this was amazing for us as two nervous dog parents, we'd only ever left Buddy with his Grandma. We picked buddy up earlier today, and all he has done since is sleep, he clearly had a wonderful fun time, and was extremely well exercised, even in these extremely bad snowy conditions. We will 100% be taking Buddy to black and tan dachshund boarding again, and I couldn't recommend them more. Thank you so much. From Dan, Sophie, and Buddy.

Our little black and tan miniature dachshund Fowey went to stay with Nina, Russ, Eric and Frankie and had a lovely time and is now booked in for August. I had visited Nina before she opened and thought I could remember the way to her house, but I took the wrong road and ended up the other side of Chapel. This wouldn't have been too bad apart from Fowey was sick, I think due to my driving, so not only did I turn up late, but with a doggie that needed cleaning. Nina was fab and offered to clean her for me. I received a number of pictures whilst she was there, but the one that made me smile the most was Fowey in front of the aga. If there was ever a dog that likes being warm, it's Fowey. Nina was also very flexible about the pick up time, as at the last minute I realised I had an appointment I had forgotten about. I would highly recommend Nina and Black and Tan Dachshund boarding, as she has a lovely house, great location is very caring and looked after Fowey extremely well. I think Fowey will be very glad to go back and play with Eric and Frankie and have cuddles from Nina. Hopefully next time there will be less drama!

Our dachshund, Isla, has stayed at Black and Tan Dachshund Boarding for a trial sleepover and she has just returned from a week-long stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services and we will definitely be using them again. She has been so well looked after and given plenty of cuddles which she loves. She's quite a shy dog and Nina and Russ settled her in very well and she's really come out of her shell by mixing with Frankie and Erik, their own dogs, and the other boarders too. Nina kindly kept us up-to-date throughout the stay with regular photos and posts It's such a lovely location too with a huge field for them to run around in and a cosy kitchen in which they can sleep off all that exercise in front of the Aga. We look forward to many return visits. Thank you very much.

Our cheeky dachshund Oscar had his first sleepover over at Ninas, he was very excited and nervous but within 5 mins Oscar was running around and making new friends.

We got regular pics and updates off Nina to let us know how Oscar was doing which put us at ease.

Oscar can not wait to go back and he will be back very soon, definitely what other people say home from home for your little dachshund.

Our Frankie went for his trial sleepover yesterday. Nina and Russel were extremely welcoming and put our minds at ease when leaving Frankie. Nina kept us updated every couple of hours with photos and videos. Frankie looked like he was having the best time which we were so pleased about. He is looking forward to spending a week with them all in September. We would highly recommend for your sausages! x

Our 7 month choc and tan mini dachshund Betty has just returned from her 6 night stay at Black and Tan Dachshund Boarding. It was the first time we had ever left her away from us and we was nervous that she wouldn’t settle and would miss us but not at all! Betty loved Nina and found comfort in her straight away and loved playing with her two sausages Erik and Frankie plus the other boarders! Nina kept us updated regularly on how Betty was and what she’d been up to with messages, pictures and videos. It was so reassuring to know she was ok and having lots of fun! We couldn’t have found a better place for her to stay whilst we were away, it’s in such a lovely location with big fields for them all to run around and play in. Nina and Russ looked after Betty like she was one of their own, we highly recommend them and wouldn’t hesitate for her to go back again.

Monty and Chloe had a lovely sleepover at 'Black and Tan Boarding'. Nina and Russ were very welcoming and Eric and Frankie their lovely dachshunds got on well with ours. Gorgeous surroundings in beautiful High Peak and comfy snuggles warmed by the Aga made for 2 very content pups �.

Just to add...Monty has 'previous'!! A very anxious little hound when left at previous places. Nina understood his personality completely and he came back a content little soul �

I recommend EVERYTHING about it.



I went today and Visited Nina, I took my Erik boy.. And It's properly LOVELY.

Her dogs Erik and Frankie are friendly, and are all around great. They got on with my boy, happy faces all around and I had my 17month old daughter with me and they were great around her too. The field section they can dig and play in and run on, is awesome and Completely enclosed. There are extra little nooks they can have sniffs in too. Her House is great. And warm. And she loves animals as much as me. :)

Black and Tan boarding is a real home from home for your dachshund. Our girl Holly stayed here for 2 weeks and I was worried she might miss us. Not a bit of it!! She loved her stay here, playing with the other boarders and the resident dachshunds, Frankie and Erik, chasing the ball around the field and then snuggles in the evening. Plus you get constant pictures, videos and communication from Nina to reassure you. I can’t recommend them highly enough, if you would like beloved dog to be happy and safe whilst you’re are away, then this is the place.
