Black Women Rising Uk

Black Women Rising, part of The Leanne Pero Foundation (Registered Charity 1182365), was set up when Leanne Pero found that mainstream cancer services were not inclusive enough in providing adequate support tailored to the Black and ethnic community. We strongly feel that no one should suffer in silence or feel isolated when facing their cancer journey. Our aim is to raise awareness, educate and inspire Black people going through cancer to connect with one another and share their stories without fear or shame. We do this through our many projects including Monthly Support Groups, Black Women Rising Magazine and our podcast series.
