What a wonderful time we had today dancing in the rain!!

Preschool Leavers Sports Day, they were all amazing. Well Done Everyone!

What a fantastic time we had at our Princess and Pirate party to celebrate the children's time at Blackberries with their friends and families.

We are so pleased to have received such positive feedback about our New Nursery Menu's, which will launch in September. Our fantastic new food provision will run on a seasonal rota, to cater for the preferences of meal types throughout the warmer and cooler months of the year.
We are also excited to announce that we also be hosting weekly themed menu's for different events, such as Halloween, Chinese New Year, Diwali and much more! 🎃🍜🥣

HOT LEVEL 2 WEATHER ALERT - MET OFFICE
Dear Parents and Carers,
The Met Office has declared a Hot Weather Alert Level 2 for East of England. The Met Office forecasts means there is 60% chance of temperatures being high enough on at least two consecutive days to have significant effects on health of very warm or hot days, especially across western parts.
... Here at Blackberries we are following the guidance from the Public Health Looking for after children and those in early years settings during heatwaves. Please view the Heatwave Plan for England for advice and guidance, which includes the following:
Stay out of the Heat:
• keep out of the sun between 11am and 3pm • if you have to go out in the heat, walk in the shade, apply sunscreen and wear a hat and light scarf • avoid extreme physical exertion • wear light, loose-fitting cotton clothes
Cool yourself down:
• have plenty of cold drinks, and avoid excess alcohol, caffeine and hot drinks • eat cold foods, particularly salads and fruit with a high water content • take a cool shower, bath or body wash • sprinkle water over the skin or clothing, or keep a damp cloth on the back of your neck
Keep your environment cool:
• keeping your living space cool is especially important for infants, the elderly or those with chronic health conditions or who can’t look after themselves • place a thermometer in your main living room and bedroom to keep a check on the temperature • keep windows that are exposed to the sun closed during the day, and open windows at night when the temperature has dropped • close curtains that receive morning or afternoon sun, however, care should be taken with metal blinds and dark curtains, as these can absorb heat – consider replacing or putting reflective material in-between them and the window space • turn off non-essential lights and electrical equipment – they generate heat • keep indoor plants and bowls of water in the house as evaporation helps cool the air • if possible, move into a cooler room, especially for sleeping • electric fans may provide some relief, if temperatures are below 35°C2

What a lovely time the Preschool children had at Aria court this morning with the residents. Singing, painting, colouring and exploring the playdoh. Looking forward to our next visit 😊

The children all had fun on Friday making their flags and playing football in the garden!

Preschool had a lovely visit from our local Farmer, where they learnt all about different crops that are grown on the farm, and how to look after them.

Big Toddlers are really enjoying their new topic, Transport making their own car wash in the sunshine. As well as creating their own playdoh vehichles!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend. Please can we remind all parents/carers to ensure your child attend Nursery with labelled sunhats and sun cream to keep them safe in the sun 🌞. Please note the first application of sun cream is to be applied at home, thank you.

Big Toddlers and their Friend Bertie Bear have been enjoying the sunshine, exploring our outdoor provisions!

This week the under two's unit have enjoyed exploring and making their bird feeders. Before going out into our outdoor provision choosing different areas to place them for the birds to find!

Wonderful staff , my son loves everyday at blackberry nursery. His speech has come on so well since being there and he has learnt so much and loves to tell me about how he day was playing with his friends. Communication between the staff and parents is fantastic too.

Unfortunately today was my daughters last day for a while as she is going for surgery in the next few weeks. However, I can not thank blackberries staff enough for helping her to settle in. She always comes out with a big smile on her face and continues to learn new things everyday. Thank you very much! Hopefully, we will see you soon. X

This is such lovely nursey and preschool my son has loved going here and loved every worker who worked with him xxx

The Blackberries Team are so supportive and encouraging to my very shy little girl. She has a special bond with her key worker and comes home talking about her friends and singing new songs she has learnt there. They always have a range of activities and a lovely big garden. Definitely recommend!

My little boy loves it! They always do so many activities during the day and trips out! We love it!

My little boy has been attending Blackberries since he was just 1 years old. He is a happy and confident 3 year old now and Blackberries has been a massive part of his development, socially and otherwise. Thank you to all the staff, past and present who have looked after Grayson.

My daughter loves Blackberries and all the team members. My daughter tells me excitedly everyday all the fun things she done and learnt...Then I listen to all the new songs she has learnt�...Over and Over...
