Great stay in the Higgledy Tree House. Hot water was not working properly.

Quirky, friendly and lots of fun. Whether you stay in a tree house or a helicopter this experience was just brilliant. Lovely little on site shop and a library. Great place to recharge your batteries.

Simple camping in woodland clearings or glamping in unusual accommodation: this is a wonderful place to relax. Space and opportunity for kids to play in trees, water, mud. But not a place you can take your car to your pitch. Backwoods camping in harmony with nature.

Your own little slice of heaven, suits us brilliantly and we go back year after year to see how Tim and Eva put their heart and soul into the site. Give it a go, it's just fantastic if you want peace and quiet.

How camping should be! We had a fantatstic time in our own private clearing with a fire pit/bbq. Toilets are very clean. Sponges and fairy liquid are even provided in the kitchen area.. wow!

AMAAAAAZING! A stunning campsite with glamping options!

I confess - I am NOT a camper but my family and friends are. Blackberry Wood is the perfect compromise to please everyone, as it has plenty of camping sites for those who want to pitch up their tents and for those of us who want an alternative to outdoor camping, there were glamping options available.

I picked the Curvy Cabin and stayed it in on my own whilst my husband and children camped. But they were just a 2mins walk away from my cabin, so the children were able stop by for the odd snack before rushing off into the woods.

The place is so magical and idyllic with friendly rabbits jumping around in the clearing with the children looking at them whilst playing in the little play area.

I had my own shower and toilet facilities in the Curvy Cabin, which was great, but my friends were very pleased with the cleanliness of the communal showers and toilets.

I hope to be back and I may treat myself to one of the beautifully made treehouses next time. =)

While the campsite itself is the perfect spot for children to be free and explore, the grumpy attitude by the manager and constant reminder of 'site rules', made this a less than idyllic trip. To start with we were refused entry to our pitch having arrived an hour earlier than 2pm, as this was 'site rule' and cleaning had to be done. We weren't staying in any of the on-site accommodation, and all pitches were empty??! The weather turned and at 2pm, when we were finally registered and so we had to erect our tents in heavy rain. Great start! When asked what the weather forecast was for tomorrow he said 'noisy and busy' and this continued in the same vein as he came stomping down to our pitch at a couple of minutes past 11 (when no noise whatsoever is permitted) and again a couple of minutes thereafter when the children screamed after a huge bug had come into their tent. I have never met such a bad tempered campsite manager. He is clearly in the wrong job. This could be wonderful but until it is run as a welcoming, family friendly site, we will not be returning. Total disappointment.

Stayed on the wild side and really loved it. Woods or meadow there are lots of great spots, with fresh drinking water, decent loos, spot to wash up, good campfires and shop and really friendly managers. Would totally go back.

We spent two nights camping in the 'wild site' and we absolutely loved it. There were 8 of us and we had 3 tents but still had plenty of room on our pitch for our great fire. So peaceful and relaxing! We walked a glorious 10 miles on the Saturday and ended up in the Half Moon Pub which we also recommend. Toilets and shower on wild side were fine - clean and did the job. Shop has the basics and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The whole site is huge, well thought out and has a great vibe. All in all, a fantastic weekend and highly recommend this campsite.

Caters for traditional tent camping with basic but good showers and toilets. Also offers boutique accommodation, from tree houses, to helicopters, buses, and gypsy caravans. Great central grassy area with kids playthings camp shop. Also provides "Wild Side" camping over the road at weekends during the summer.
