Blackburn & Co. is a firm of solicitors which was founded in Dorchester in January 2010.  All members of the team have strong track records, but first and foremost they like to treat clients as people! At Blackburn & Co. , we offer every client a free new enquiry consultation of at least 30 minutes where we listen carefully to their needs and explain whether and, if so, how we may be able to assist them. We give our clients full contact details and, if we are free, we will take your call directly. We pride ourselves on being able to get back to our clients and all enquiries within 48  hours.  We are willing to visit clients at home, at their place of business, in hospital or elsewhere in appropriate cases.   We are also happy to arange to see clients outside normal office hours in cases where it is difficult or impossible for that client to visit our offices during normal working hours. Personal Injury Claims: John and Elaine Potter have extensive experience in bringing high value personal injury claims. Between them, John and Elaine have successfully recovered millions of pounds in damages for people injured in car accidents, accidents at work, attacks by animals, public liability accidents, accidents abroad and on holiday. Industrial Disease Claims: Elaine Potter has extensive experience in bringing industrial disease claims, includingpeople who have suffered asbestosis, mesothelioma, noise induced hearing loss and contact dermatitis as a result of the negligence of their employers. Private Client Department: Christine Harley is a Consultant Solicitor who specialises in providing clients with an Wills, trusts, probate and lasting power of attorney service. Christine is a Trust and Estates Practitioner member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners ("STEP"), as well as a fully accredited member of the Society for the Elderly ("SFE"). Employment Law Department: Graham Whitehouse is a Consultant Solicitor who specialises in employment law. Graham is happy to advise both employers and employees on employment law. Graham has a strong track record in representing both employers and employees before the Employment Tribunal in relation to claims for unfair dismissal, redundancy and discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, disability or age. Graham also has extensive experience of drafting employment documents, such as contracts of employment.
