Badminton Horse Trials in Gloucestershire has been a very firm part of our event calendar for a few years now, and we’re very excited about this year too. This year, not only will be bringing one of our Turnkey Shepherd Huts to Badminton, we’ll also be bringing an amazing Swinging Day Bed from our friends at Sitting Spiritually of Lyme Regis, which we’ve built a rather beautiful canopy for. https://www.blackdownshepherdhuts.co.uk/b log/

The perfect #turnkeytuesday with the most stunning view from the terrace 😍⁣ This was one of our most recent deliveries. There's something that will always make us feel all warm and fuzzy when we see our huts in their new homes with their lovely new owners planning how they're going to use and love the space, and what that's going to add to their worlds. ⁣ Don't forget that we're at Badminton Horse Trials this week, so pop along and see us if you'd like to take the weight off your feet and start your hut shaped dreams!⁣

Yes and no....⁣ When you buy a self build from us, the parts you receive to create your very own little hub of loveliness are EXACTLY the same as we use in our Turnkey and Retreat Huts. Same wood. Same screws. Same everything. Simply because they're the best we have found for our huts. And we want everyone who buys a Blackdown Shepherd Hut to benefit! We've really put a lot of time and effort into the kit you receive so it's all there, and we'll help you if you need it too. But the difference? The hot tub is calling for after work today... we have a big week next week with Badminton Horse Trials so need a little R&R before the final countdown... will we see you there? You can't miss us!⁣

It's #throwbackthursday to our trip to France a few weeks ago - we were delivering one of our Shepherd's Huts to its new French home. The scenery was stunning and it was so sunny... and the hut when it was in place looked 👌. It's a little further than our normal deliveries but any excuse to nip over to France and we're there!⁣

What do you see? A stunning mural? A place to chat with friends? The star gazer window that lets you look upwards... or did you spot the leather strap that, when given a pull, reveals a super comfy bed?⁣ What did you first see when you looked at this pic?⁣

#turnkeytuesday, sat amongst the tulips, easing its way back into a four day working week before Badminton Horse Trials next week the only way it knows how. By looking rather lovely and being ready for anything!⁣ How's your Tuesday looking so far?⁣

Fancy a little precision driving this Thursday? Of course you do...⁣ When we deliver our Turnkey Huts, our driving skills are sometimes tested when it comes to getting the hut in its final resting place. OK- tested in the wrong word... we love it! Enjoy this timelapse of the final manoeuvre on a recent delivery!⁣

Have you seen this plaque yet? We attach our plaque to each Shepherd's Hut we make, it has the year too, so you know how old it is, so you can buy it an appropriate birthday card each year - obviously!⁣

#turnkeytuesday is all about this lovely delivery last week. We love it when the whole family (two and four legged) enjoy one of our Shepherd's Huts... and we know this family will! Happy hut.⁣

Happy Monday - what are your big plans this week?⁣ We're working away on our Badminton Horse Trials plans as we're exhibiting there again in just a few weeks time... and we're bringing a hut! If you're at Badminton, stop by, have a look around, rest your legs and see what we're talking about on here in real life!⁣ This is our Retreat Hut. Went to meet the guys today at Blackdown, so good to see real craftsmanship in the younger generation & making beautiful Huts which will be here in years to come, so impressed, will be ordering from this passionate business, well done lads

My husband and I will be moving to the UK in a few years would like to look for land where we can build a home and then get a few of these from you guys to use to Airbnb, just wondering what the building permissions/ restrictions would be like and if it is at all possible?
