Luscious white wool on our gilling machine, which removes the shorter fibres and aligns the long fibres so they feel silky smooth to touch.

One of the only truly black sheep breeds, the Black Welsh Mountain is unusual in other ways too: their fleeces are almost entirely kemp free, making them surprisingly soft compared with some other British breeds. 🖤🖤🖤 We use BWM with white wools in our British Classic blend to make the natural grey shade.

We were driving down the A30 and popped in just to pick up a colour card. Well, what a treat it was! Lovely helpful welcoming staff and *bonus* there was a flash sale on so I came away with a sweater quantity of Lyonesse!! Thank you Blacker Yarns for an unexpectedly lovely break in our journey, I shall definitely be ordering again online �

I have just received my third batch of wool . I love it . Hebridean north ronaldsay and some chunky yarn from north wales . I am going to knit my way around the british isles . Thank you

I had a fantastic experience visiting Blacker in Launceston. Their Yarns are superb quality using Local breeds. I purchased some Samite yarn which knit up beautifully . I thoroughly recommend their products to any crafter who loves quality products.
