The Blacktower Group was formed in 1986 to provide independent wealth management advice and a bespoke service for both individual and corporate clients. Having celebrated more than 30 years in business, our independent financial advisers continually keep pace with the changing needs of our customers, regulations and legislation. Blacktower Financial Management's UK operation was the first piece of the puzzle and remains an integral part of the Group; engaging clients based in and around the Surrey HQ, many of whom continue to be clients to this day. A major change for the UK took place in 2010, when Ritchie Salkeld, who had owned and managed his own successful practice for over 20 years, consolidated his business with Blacktower Financial Management Ltd. At that time Ritchie was appointed UK Managing Director. Navigating the Business and its clients through the ever-changing and challenging financial services landscape in a "post-Great Recession" world has allowed the business to focus on client care and provided greater opportunity to add value to our clients' finances. The Retail Distribution Review (2013 RDR) allowed Blacktower Financial Management in the UK to look within and establish where we could focus our specialist knowledge. The focus in the UK is all about providing a personal service to clients and helping them to achieve financial aspirations. Blacktower Financial Management offers a service which can provide a truly long-term approach to client finances, as we can support our clients both now and in the future due to our already successful internal training system. Our forward thinking approach to financial services encourages client interaction, engagement and education across the generations.
