Blair Lamar Arts

Blair Lamar is a London Based Artist in the Second Floor Studios Wembley. She is a Painter, Photographer, Conceptual Artist, Spoken Word Poet, Curator, Community Artist, and Art Teacher. The driving force behind her work is astheics in colour.

Blair Lamar is an American artist who weaves stories in her abstract figuration artwork. Based in London since leaving Chicago IL, Blair combines specific colour palettes, abstracted shapes, and emerges compositions of the human form. In her work she explores the point where shape, colour, and the human form become one: inviting the spectator to discover the story of each painting and make it their own. The inspired stories behind the creations of these works are revealed through poetry, and interactive media, but are only an extra antidote to the work for the viewer’s curiosity. Blair pushes against the instant gratification culture in today’s society by causing a need to realise the recognisable shapes within her hidden figurative composition.
