Pizza oven is arriving this week!!

What can I say, our wedding was no less than perfect! We booked The blakelands over two years ago after seeing paul at a wedding fair. I had dismissed this venue before hand as I had only seen photos of the old house. Am I glad I bumped into him?! He showed photos of all the grounds and we decided to go to their wedding fair.



Here we realised that all the grounds had character especially the barn. We felt ‘at home’ as soon as we walked in. It was exactly what we were looking for and the best decision we have made, booking the blakelands for our wedding, September 2018.



Paul, heather, Chloe and the rest of the team are fab. Everyone that came to our wedding commented on the grounds, the food and the service. If I could fault our day in any way, I would be honest and say so. But it was incredible. If your looking for a venue for a wedding, retirement party or anything else, you will not be disappointed by choosing this venue!



Thank you to all the team at The Blakelands, we had the best day celebrating our married with you and there’s no doubt you will see us soon!

We were married at Blakelands Country house five days ago. I know Blakelands well and have worked there several times in my capacity as a musician and when it came to choosing the perfect venue for my own wedding I knew that of the many hundreds of venues I've worked at over the years, there was only one for me.



Hiring Blakelands for your Wedding isn't just knowing that you'll have your day in a stunningly beautiful house, barn, walled gardens and acres of grounds with a lake but also..



Paul and his staff..



Paul is ever present from the minute you arrive until you go to bed, but is never intrusive. Always on hand for that moment when you weren't sure where you should be next!



From the build up to the ceremony through to the meal, to the speeches and everything in between and even accommodating the needs of a family member with a debilitating illness, Paul and his staff did everything they could to make our day perfect.



I've had so many comments from guests about our choice of venue for our wedding and one stands out..



"You could not have chosen a more perfect venue for your big day"..



These were comments from people who'd never been before. These are the reasons I chose Blakelands in the first place.

We were lucky enough to have our wedding here yesterday, and we couldn't of asked for a better venue! Paul, Heather and their staff truly go above and beyond in every little detail of the day from start to finish! Every member of staff we came across were pleasant and polite and couldn't do enough for not just me and my wife but every single guest there. Thank you for making our day one we will never forget and taking all the stress out of doing the running around doing the little bits! No other venue comes close!

We looked at so many wedding venues (we took nearly a year to choose one!) when we viewed Blakelands for the first time, everything about the place felt perfect and was exactly what we were looking for. The family and staff were so helpful and friendly on the day. The food was superb! We just want to say thank you so much Paul, Heather and Chloe, the whole day ran like clockwork and everything was carried out so professionally, yet in a really friendly manner. We held our wedding reception at Blakelands in April and Paul and his team made our daily truly memorable. Nothing was too much trouble and their attention to detail was perfection. The Maltings Barn looked incredible, as well as the rest of the grounds. Our food was extremely tasty and plentiful and the service impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and are extremely grateful to all at Blakelands that made this possible. We received many compliments on our chosen venue can highly recommend Blakelands to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue!

We had our wedding here on the 3rd June. It really was the best day of our lives. The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful. All our guests commented on how wonderful a venue it is. We can not thank Paul, Heather and the team at Blakelands enough. They were attentive every step of the way right from the initial viewing to the big day. No query was too big or small they ensured our day was perfect! Food is brilliant here too, both on our wedding day and the multiple times that we have dined as a family. We had our wedding day here 6 years ago, and we both loved it along with all our family. We went for an anniversary meal yesterday evening and it was excellent as always. Lovely, helpful staff, great food and we were surprised to find a 20% discount on the bill. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Our wedding was held at The Blakelands on 24th August, and we couldn't have asked for a better day. Everything ran smoothly, from checking into The Loft, through to the ceremony, wedding breakfast and then partying into the night.

The food was outstanding, and the staff are so friendly, and would do absolutely anything asked.

Myself and my husband got married on September 1st at Blakelands Country House. It was a perfect wedding day and my husband and I wish we could do it all over again! Paul was absolutely fabulous and conducted the day so well, he read the day as it happened and even put back our first dance (after consulting with us) so we could enjoy the last of the evening sun in the garden with our live music playing.

My Blakelands wedding was better than a wedding day I could ever dream of. The service was Fab, the food was scrumptious and they day went without hitch. Honestly this is an amazing wedding venue and would be amazing whatever the weather! Thank you all so much!

From the moment you showed us around the beautiful grounds right up to our special day you have been above and beyond our expectations. We have mainly dealt with Paul who has been an absolute pleasure to speak with and so helpful kind and attentive. All our family and friends have commented about what a great job you have done personally for us. You organised our wedding day so perfectly and calmly we didn't even need to think about a single thing it just flowed so well. From the moment we walked in to blakelands country house we were in love with the place and meeting Paul, Heather and Chloe helped us make our choice. A lovely family and together with the staff you could not feel more welcome. A beautiful setting for a wedding and the owners and staff cannot do enough. We had a truly amazing day and even after heavy rain, thunder storms and hail in the morning we still managed to marry outside. Beautiful gardens and the fishing was just so good

Absolutely love this place! We literally couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding, to be able to have an outdoor wedding was incredible and we loved every second of it. Paul, Heather, Chloe and all the team were a delight to have with us on our journey, and on the day Paul was such a great support!

The food was amazing, all of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and we couldn't imagine having done it anywhere else.
