And so my summer workshops come to an end for this year. It’s been a busy two weeks with lots of bright and beautiful pictures created.
The club is now closed until September. Have a fantastic few weeks and I’ll see you then!

Our Banksy & Beyond day went by in a flurry of activity. Over 80 pieces of work done today and the kids loved it. Well done everyone!

Getting ready for tomorrow’s workshop and my daughter couldn’t resist having a go of one of the stencils.
Our “Banksy and Beyond” stencilling day sold out so quickly when I released the dates, I think I’ll have to schedule another one soon!

Grayson Perry’s curated Summer Exhibition certainly had a distinctive feel this year, and a prolonged afternoon walking round today had plenty to interest the kids. A sense of humour, as well as politics makes the majority of the visit feel very topical too.
Here’s a few that i found interesting with my kids classes hat on before my phone died due to excessive camera usage.

The Summer Exhibition is still on until 19th August. Izzy and I are taking a break after seeing the main rooms and taking the opportunity to dance in the rain! Photos to follow.

Well, what a week! In between melting these 15 kids have produced amazing work! It’s been a pleasure spending the week with them and encouraging them to do their best.

Thought I’d give you a sneaky peak of the Acrylic on Canvas workshop paintings. Half way through and really starting to take shape from a group of 8/9 yr olds and a 12/14 yr old group.

How did this happen?? The end of the academic year has come around even quicker than last year.

Wonderful patterns from the Reception age class this Tuesday. As they move up to year 1 at school they move into the Infant classes at the Club making way for a new intake. Can’t see what they do next term. Lovely bunch.

Yasmine loves this class and I really like the way Suzi is with the kids too so everyone is happy. Can't wait to see more from Blank Canvas....

What a find! This is an amazing club, giving children many varied opportunities to learn how to create different types of art. I'd been looking for an art club for my 8 year old and was so thrilled to stumble upon Suzi. She is, of course, an amazing artist, but has wonderful ideas to help the children express themselves. I like the fact the club progressive and themed, so over time the children will learn about different techniques and also a lot about art history. Suzi is great fun and makes every class interesting as well as informative. The weekly newsletter and Facebook page ( to which photos of the childrens' work is loaded) keep the parents involved with what's been going on. Can't praise it enough!

My son first met Suzi and Blank Canvas at one of their holiday courses. Before he started we thought he might be artistic but after 1 day’s class he just blossomed. Everyday we discover lovely little drawings and fantastic cartoon characters he has drawn about the house and lovely doodles. He’s now nearly finished his first term at Blank Canvas and he has learned to observe and redraw objects, which are fantastic skills. Thank you so much, he is so inspired.

Last night just before falling asleep my 5 year old son whispered: “Mammy, I want to tell you something, I like the drawing class so much! “

It says it all. We are so lucky to have found Suzi’s art club.

Brilliant art club run by Suzi, my girls love art club and the confidence in their own abilities has grown hugely through it. Thanks Suzi

Amazing and well organised art club. My little girl has gone from lacking confidence in art to now feeling that the world is her oyster! She has learnt all different techniques, about all different artists and uses a variety of materials and methods. We love seeing her work each week and seeing her happy face with her masterpieces on the facebook page. I can highly recommend Suzy and the art club. Well done and thank you!
