After a week off last week back to hobby craft Thursday night. Projects completed : placemats, tissue box cover and a tea towel with applique. A work in progress for a colour block tote bag. ( picture next week) .Well done everyone tonight some absolutely superb sewing ,challenges I know but you all did good .🤣🤣Looking forward to next week.

Last night tonight for the current Learn to sew course .New learn to sew 6 week course for beginners or returners starts next Tuesday 25th . Last night was the final week of the Make your clothes course. A beautiful ladies top was finished , a challenge but so well sewn. 😊Also two girls skirts one for a 6month old and one for age 3. Really pretty fabric and well sewn. Well done Ladies , you have developed your skills over the past 5 weeks and completed really nice items of clothing .( one childs dress was completed last week) A pleasure to work with you ,look forward to seeing you again 😊😊Happy sewing 🧵

Next Make your first clothes course begins Monday 24th June I'm Hoddesdon . Course for those that already have basic sewing skills and want to progress to making clothes. Suggest either a skirt ,a top or a simlple dress or even children's clothes. A 5 week course where we look at measuring and reading patterns in the first week and then cut out and make the garment. No class at Hobby craft last night I had a night off to go to the O2 with the other half of Blanket stitch, my daughter, Amy 💕Had a brilliant time , a great concert but missed my sewers in Hobby. 😉Look forward to seeing you next week.🧵

Bag night at Tuesday nights class in Hoddesdon, the signature Tote Bag and the Scrunched bag. The sewing was very well done , very good top stitch and very well completed projects. At Tuesday afternoons 1 to 1 session there was an issue the the sewers own machine tension so we worked on that and now the machine is sewing like a dream 😊Then it was time to prepare the paper pattern for cutting out the fabric next time. A different but worthwhile session. 😊😊

Monday Nights Dressmaking course this has been a Make your first clothes. 3 ladies 2 tops and a childs dress. Tonight was week 4 and the dress was finished. An amazing first project , adjustments along the way but a beautiful dress. Will share the picture of it being worn when I have it.😊 Well done all, great work , challenges but a good night! What a session Thursday night in Hobby craft was: trinket boxes, makeup bags ( so adding zips) and one design on the intermediate course a bit more complicated and also a beautiful pouch bag. ☺Some WIP items brought back completed! A notebook cover and a fold over clutch! Such good sewing tonight, beautiful items made .Well done all ,so proud of your achievements.⭐

This afternoon in the Blanket Stitch craft room in Hoddesdon I have been making reusable pot covers. No need for plastic or foil to cover food. Made it cotton fabric, lined and washable.These will be for sale at craft fairs and able to make on our Sewing courses.☺

Sewing is a great hobby and making projects for the home or gifts is a good place to start . It is also relaxing ,fun and the opportunity to meet new like minded people.
