About Blockchain For Human Rights

From tackling human trafficking, eradicating conflict diamonds, aiding refugees, every day ingenious entrepreneurs are discovering new uses for Blockchain that can potentially transform our world and step up the fight for human rights. Blockchain for Human Rights is a dialogue agenda project that aims to bring together impact-driven investors, social startups, and policymakers to explore and understand the impact and potential of Blockchain technology to solve pressing human rights issues. We inform startups on the potential and actual regulatory framework surrounding Blockchain, and spread awareness on the Blockchain's application in the human rights arena. We were panel speakers and organisers on the topic of "Tackling Human Right Issues with Blockchain Technology" at the Yale University Rebellious Lawyering Conference 2018, the largest student-run public interest in the US. Our roots are in UC Berkeley, the world's leading institution in research in Blockchain technology and a centre for social justice movements in the US. Our network spans from London, San Francisco, Paris, and Brussels. We are planning conferences in San Francisco and London for Summer 2019.
