Blue Bell

The Blue Bell is something of a revelation, once you discover it.

The interior has the warmth and welcome of a traditional country pub - perfect for cosy get-togethers on a crisp autumn or winter evening. When the weather is good, however, this pub's biggest draw has to be its fantastic beer garden!

Hidden away at the back of the pub, the huge space includes all manner of seating as well as a raised, decked area. Little wonder the times we have been (when the sun was out) it has been absolutely packed!

The food at The Blue Bell is also something of a discovery, as everything is home-cooked on the premises. Now, this does not mean things are bought in and then cooked in-house, it means properly home-cooked. Even their gorgeously chunky chips are cut and cooked right there in their kitchen.

The pub's location is also quite an attraction, with Jesmond Dene right on the doorstep but still within walking distance of Newcastle city centre. The area is so tranquil, however, you will feel a million miles from the hustle and bustle.

So take the time to hunt out this great pub . . . we don't think you'll be disappointed.
