The Sun is shining for us here today at the Blue Bell Cider House ,The Garden is filling up nicely our Landlord Alan is waiting to serve you some delicious foods at the Bbq .. selection of burgers,hot dogs, pork apple and stuffing baps ,and our Kitchen Manager Sammy is ready to serve you a selection of Delicious Salads Chicken and Bacon with caesar dressing , tuna mayo and cheese . Also serving a selection of Jacket potatoes , Beef chilli ,Cheese and beans ,and Tuna Mayo from the main kitchen 😀😀 We also have some Twisters ,chocolate feasts,and lemon ice lollys to cool you down

They made a very stressful situation very easy. Nothing was too much trouble. Friendly staff, quality home cooked food, amazing value. I would recommend this pub to anyone. Service was second to none. Thank you all so much xx

The best real ale in the area without a doubt, properly looked after. Brilliant location, welcoming staff and a good place to always meet a couple of friends. The antidote to chain and gastro pubs.... although the food is excellent.

Such a lovely pub - wish it was my local. We were made to feel very welcome, and the dogs too. Open fire, massive menu choice, delicious quality food and a pint brewed on site. I will be back soon!

Meals were good priced and value for money. Picked a lovely day and sat by the river. Highley recommended it to anyone in the area. Definitely going back 👍🏻

Extremly helpful lovley staff who go out of there way to help you, We came as a large family on bank holiday monday from a Canal boat rental and they had a BBQ perfect idea for a busy bank holiday in the sun. We qued for food for not even 5 minutes and were soon able to relax in the sun! I will defiantly return!

A lovely first visit today: Great that you get a full two-hour slot with your booking...we'll take a more lazy visit next time! The roasts were excellent - the ham tasty, the pork delicious with some crunchy crackling, the turkey moist and the beef was wonderfully tender. Good choice of sides with beautifully buttery swede and cheesy mash alongside some top drawer roasties and the tasty chipolatas...so good Mum had to ask where they were from!

The setting by the canal is certainly going to make us visit when the warmer weather comes however I am sure we will be back well before then. Thank you.

I've eaten here on several occasions and have been delighted with the food and service which is why I have given a 4 star rating. However, yesterday was an exception. I visited for lunch and ordered the 12oz gammm steak. Order was taken and paid for however about 10 minutes later the server came over to the table to advise that there were no more 12oz steaks left only one solitary 6oz steak. I elected to change my order to a rump steak and paid an extra £2. The meals arrived and I have to say that I was disappointed with mine. The rump steak was ultra thin with a large amount of fat and gristle around the edge. I doubt whether it was the weight advertised in the menu. The main point of my review is this, why weren't the servers advised by the kitchen staff of the reduced menu availability so customers could be told
