Don`t know the hotel but the bar is nice, beers there were tasty.
We had a lovely weekend at Blue Bell hotel the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was spacious and immaculate. If you get the chance try the gin tasting very knowledgeable staff and good fun. Excellent value for money we will definitely be back

A lovely overnight stay in a gorgeous Northumberland hotel. Extremely comfortable beds and a superb breakfast of smoked haddock (locally sourced from Craster) and poached egg. Many thanks.
Food quite good, but service terrible. Dirty table never cleared of glasses from previous occupants, food arrived with no cutlery - we had to find it ourselves. Didn't get told about kid's menu even though we were with a 4 year old. Wouldn't go back again.

Delicious Sunday dinner with proper roast potatoes and home made Yorkshire puddings. Also homemade fish fingers for the kids free with a 3 course meal.
Lovely hotel with great food and breakfast. Great location for visiting Northumberland and the borders.
Update stayed here again in 2017 - same room, but it's been nicely decorated. Food and service still excellent.
We stayed here in early 2014. It's a lovely old building with plenty of character. That comes with a few issues such as creaky floors and doors that need a little encouragement to shut, our room had not been decorated for some time. That's the bad news over, now for the good. The room was spacious, the bed linen and towels were good quality. Everything was clean. The staff / owner were friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. They served breakfast early as a few guests were there for a race in Bamburgh and needed to leave early. We ate there for two evening meals and two breakfasts. Every meal was excellent, a cut above standard pub grub with local ingredients cooked well. I will certainly be looking for an excuse to visit the area again to stay there.
