About Blue Bus Tour

A driving force behind exceptional, original live music in Suffolk.

Pop up music concerts. Live music production, programming and events.

Blue Bus Tour Description

Founded in 2009 by Peter Hepworth, BBT began by, and subsequently got its name from, converting a blue, 1962 split screen, VW camper van into a mobile, solar powered stage complete with lighting rig, and travelling around the country putting on ‘pop up’ gigs in various fields and woods.

We book passion. Professional, hard working, and experienced writers and musicians and with that, the reputation of our secret concerts grew at a fast rate largely from word of mouth.

Before long we were setting up at major festivals and occasionally as a VIP stage within in them, while continuing to host and grow our own mini festival 'festeaval' here in Woodbridge.

We made sure that any festival booking our stage would allow us permission to showcase the artists we were working with at any given time, thus we became a platform for our unsigned artists to perform to bigger audiences by providing a back door entrance into these festivals.

As our reputation reflects we have a wealth of experience and knowledge for creating fabulous performance environments out of the simplest of spaces. Although we now often work with many different establishments, large music venues, District councils ect, we are always looking for new and interesting spaces to host music. No gig is to big or small.

From open fields to back rooms in quiet little pubs, if it feels right we’ll help. Wherever we set up we guarantee a live performance experience that will have people walking away with signed CD's in hand and smiles on faces.

As heartbreaking as it was the Blue Bus herself was involved in a motor accident in late 2013 and categorised as a Cat B write off and we are unable to rebuild her. However, do the Campervan stage, we have an established a fan base of 1000s, based in Suffolk and the surrounding counties. A strong relationship with agencies such as Coda, CAA and ITB. This coupled with our artists own fans and the support of local acts means every gig we put on is a well attended, friendly environment, based by the shared passion for original live music.

BBT continues to host festivals during the Summer months as well as bookings for Suffolk Council, Trees for Cities, Festival Republic, Oxfam, Noise of Art, Cancer Research and many more.

Some of the artists we've brought to Suffolk in the past 24months:

Turin Brakes, Bastille, Ryan Keen, Seasfire, JP Cooper, Beth Orton, Kal Lavelle, Fiona Bevan, Liz Lawrence, Jake Morley, Kimberly Ann, Scott Matthews, Hilang Child, The Sea & I, Sam Brookes, To Kill a King, Emily and the Woods, Hot Feet, Tom McRae, Jamie Lawson, and many more…. .
