Afternoon all from Jessie!
Jessie had the best christmas present that anyone could ask for when we told her that she'd found her forever home! Her lovely new humans wanted to make sure everything was perfect for her and Jessie could hardly wait to go, well her wish came true as she went to her new home last week. You can see her below having goodbye snuggles with her groom before she left.

We just wanted to say a massive thank you this morning to one of our supporters. They fundraised for us in their own time and with the money raised bought us a 'Hotline Electric Fence Energiser' via our Amazon Wishlist. Our old energiser was on its last legs and needed replacing, but now those funds can be used on something else that the horses need instead.

Happy New Year from the horses at the Rolleston Rehoming Centre!
The horses had a lovely Christmas, but we're now back into the swing of things and going all steam ahead with trying to find all our lovely residents new homes. At the end of the year all these guys and girls below had found their forever homes just in time for Christmas with their new borrowers. 🎄

Over the Christmas/New Year period the reception/office building at Rolleston will be closed as folllows;
Monday 24th December - Closed Tuesday 25th December - Closed Wednesday 26th December - Closed... Thursday 27th December - Closed Friday 28th December - Closed Saturday 29th December - Open Sunday 30th December - Open Monday 31st December - Closed Tuesday 1st January 2019 - Closed
On the closed days we will be looking after the horses and making sure they gets lots of presents and attention, but the offices won't be open. We will still be checking the phones on these days, so if you have an emergency give us a call on '0300 777 1520', leave us a message and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Silvermoor hayalage have very kindly donated us a box of swingers. These forage based blocks have really given our horses and ponies enrichment while stabled. Check our next post for a video or Fudge and Mango enjoying them! Thank you Silvermoor!!

Diddy the reindeer here just dropping in at the Rolleston Rehoming Centre on my way back to the north pole for the night! As you can imagine Santa is quite busy at the moment, but we just wanted to give you an update following on from the Blue Cross Christmas Market.
The elves have helped to count all the wonderful donations the centre received and I'm now happy to annouce that we managed to raise over £1400 from the event!
We just wanted to say a massive thank you to every...one that attended and supported the event! The team and horses are all really touched by your kind generosity, the money raised will go a long way to looking after the residents in our care.

... You can order them simply by emailing us at rollestonrehomingteam@bluecross.org. uk and requesting an order form, which we will send back to you via email.
Costing wise it is £30 per saddle pad and £4.75 for postage, payment to be made by card over the phone at the time of completed order forms coming in. Order early to make sure they arrive in time for CHRISTMAS!! (Currently there is the option to collect if close to Rolleston and we will plan to have stock at Burford too, but sadly not until 2019).
Headcollars are also available in all sizes.....
Costing wise these are £13 - £15 depending on size with £2.75 postage, again email us for an order form.....

Wonderful people, place and ponies!! A really welcoming and helpful team!

What a fantastic and wonderful place to visit, the staff were friendly welcoming and extrememly helpful. The care and knowledge of the horses was amazing.

We visited the Blue Cross at Rolleston looking for a companion for our horse. All the staff there....Maria, Matt, Tamzin to name just a few were very helpful.....

They were prompt to answer any queries and helped us find the perfect companion for our Star in Bluebell.

From the initial phone call to our home visit with Rebecca right the way to our collection date nothing was too much trouble.....

Thankyou all for doing such a great job.......we're so pleased to have Bluebell as part of our Family x

We on sat 24Sep to see Miss Agatha and her foal Rio showed around by Alice she was just great very nice young lady All the horses looked great and all looked well groomed We shall go again soon to see Agatha and Rio

Recently adopted our little Alphie for my little girly and they are a match made in heaven we’re both toatally smitten with him and he’s fitted in perfectly into out little family ... absolutely over the moon with him and can’t thank the staff for what a wonderful job they do at the centre ... they have all been so lovely and easy to deal with...Nothing has been too much for them through the whole process and I’m super happy we found our little man ��� thank you all again ... xxx

Recently adopted my third pony from the Blue Cross

Absolutely adore all three of my boys, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Blue Cross to anyone looking for a horse/pony to re home

Nice place, very quiet, helpful staff, beautiful horses :-)

I’ve been volunteering here for almost a year now and I must say that the staff work so hard. Everyone that works at rolleston is extremely friendly and cares so much for animals, even with the horse care staff helping with the recently added cattery.

The site is also open to the public during certain times for a walk around the grounds and it has a great second hand tack shop. Open days also a great opportunity to meet some of the current residents and help support this wonderful cause also! Next open day is 12th May!

A recommended day out for all the family! �

It was a tough decision for me to let scrabble go after 6 years. Susi who volunteers at the cattery was so supportive and understanding. I felt sick with guilt and Susi was very reassuring. Thanks to Mary too. Although we didn't meet you were understanding..

The place itself is a well maintained, peaceful and beautiful setting. All the staff are warm and welcoming

I think all the people at Rolleston are amazing. We have just fostered Dora, she is so sweet and has settled in really well. We love her. ❤️

Could not be nicer or more helpful - accepted my horses for re-homing at a horrendous time in my life and made the process as easy as it could be. Wonderful people and fabulous place. Well worth supporting.

BC Mouse and Bolt have been with us for a few weeks, they have settled and doing fab therapy with children in care.

As a regular visitor i can say the place is so well run and all the horses look so happy and relaxed and all the staff are very friendly. Enjoyed the 10th anniversary celebrations today
